Molly Malone's 23rd May

"Next time?" And that would be when, exactly? I'm just itching to update the News... section with new dates.

So, we're playing 23rd May, probably at the civilized time of eight o'clock in the evening, again. Unfortunately, it'll be without Brad Wood again because he has to go back to New York City to mix the album he's been working on for the past few weeks. So, it'll be myself, Kieran Mulroney, (fiddle, Stroh violin, ukulele, singing) and his brother Dermot Mulroney (cello, mandolin, guitar, singing) and me (guitar, accordion, hat-box - now with fetching travel stickers - with a bass-drum pedal attached, singing). We'll do similar to the Fearnley Show with Administering Minions that we did April 18th, and similar also to Cranky George Trio, but I expect it'll be more Cranky George, with songs by Kieran and Dermot, too, etc. We'll have to figure this out in the next week or so.

I just very well may be in San Diego around then. Neat!

That goes without saying. I'm always filled with the jealous.

Lucky, lucky you. :) The rest of us, who live far, far away beyond the Herring Pond, can only hope that „one of these days“ will come soon and James will honour us at least with his autobiography (posted to this site? ;)) if not with his musical performance. And ideally with both. :)

Sorry you can't come, Zuzana. All I can promise is the odd autobiographical bit from time to time in the forums, and I'll try to give a good, autobiographical account of how the gig went, when we've done it.

As for the rest of you who can go, stick around for Justin Clayton after Cranky George and for Dead Rock West, with whom I'll probably be playing later on.

Heya James! For the June 13th show at Mollys...you think you guys are going to go on around 8:00pm again?

Great show down in Long Beach with the FTB at Alex's, by the way...

cranky george at molly malone's 13th June

Polynesiac,

Yes. We're going on at eight, prompt. Glad you're thinking of coming. That means there'll be three I know of from the Pogues Forums, if the others come, which I'm hoping they will. (One of them has no excuse, since he lives round the corner.)

love

James

Give us time. Eventually the marketing might that is the Medusa Fora will account for up to 5% of your audience.

Then the world will be ours...
