Happy birthday, Frances!

Frances is the first Medusan I met, at the rail in front of Mr. Chevron in Philly.

40??? Pffffft.

I quit counting decades ago.

40! 40! Old?! Pah.

Don't think I can remember when I was 40. Mind you, my memory's not what it used to be.

Hope you had a great (and memorable) day, Frances.

Yup, I managed to drag it out.Went to Vegas, my first Rufus Wainwright concert, got a shiny new cellphone and had a lovely Chinese birthday dinner.

Unbelievable. Just amazing. His songs are beautiful. His personality is too charming, funny as hell. The man is a superstar.

So... I considered traveling afar to see him again, never been to Brighton. But when they announced the cities in the next leg of the U.S. tour... and I saw Nashville, well that's gonna be some fun! I'm all about that one. I'm taking my niece to the next San Francisco date, too.

I'm hooked.

I haven't even gotten through 1/2 of his catalog yet, prolific... ain't he?

Enjoy the shows, I'm jealous.

Yes, Rufus in Nashville is one to see, I suspect.

Forty? That's nothin'!!

Belated birthday greetings, Frances! I've not been around these parts much of late, and missed the grand occasion. It seems as though you did good in celebrating rightly!

Thank you.

Truth be told, I'd celebrate a jaywalking ticket.

Cheers.

Yesterday was too hectic to spend time on the computer, but I am now 32 years and one day old. So between that and Mother's Day, presents were being handed out to pretty much everyone.
