im with johnty here.....covers should be different in my opinion so stand up and be counted whoever it was who done it!! (the acoustic one with the mouth organ ) .We are not worthy! :D

I like The Christy Moore version of Fairy tale .Well to be honest i like the intro about getting lost in a mushroom field the best.Brings back memories y know. :lol:

I like the German? vbersion of Rainy night in sho that is linked on this site also but thats cos its my favourite song anyway

i saw the dropkick murphys cover faiytale over new york last year at leeds festival and it was awesome, al barr n that stephanie lass (i forget her name) took on the vocals ace.

I was there as well. It was a nice surprise when they played that. One of my festival highlights.

As well as I can remember it was faster than the original. I dont remember it that well, we were stunned that they were playing it in on a summer morning at Leeds!

In fact there are a few blank spaces in memory from that weekend.

Thats what I love about the song it doesn't have to be played on the xmas day in New York to enjoy it, it can be play anywhere in the world at any time of the year, and its still the best song ever written.
