That looks halfway to our liqour cabinet right now. We've been making "Bleeding Oranges" which is vodka, lemon vodka, mandarin vodka + peach bitters, squooshed myer lemons & blood oranges. Freaking delicious, and loaded with vitamin C to boot!

Sounds good.

Blood oranges are yummy.
Blood orange ricotta torte is my favorite.

I have no idea if it'll taste good. The candy gunk strained out in the process is vile looking. I'm just hoping it doesn't taste like a bottle of Pucker.

Mimosas and drunken cleaning oh boy.

We've decided that Wilson Creek Almond Champagne is a decent (bum wine) http://bumwine.com/ Champagne.

Though Sofia Coppola Sparkling Wine is better, methinks.

Home-made damson gin improves with age. Up to a point, anyway.

I've discovered that rarest of things, a good canadian whiskey. "Forty Creek: Barrel Select". Heavy on the caramel, this may be the best thing coming out of Alberta. I mean, the best thing AT ALL, not just liquour.

There's also a couple of premium blends, at $60 and $70 a bottle. I've tried the "Double Barrel Reserve". It's a blend that includes Rye, normally good for nothing but mixing with ginger ale, and yet it's found it's place in this blend, aged in bourbon casks and delivered to you at a low price ($60) for a fancy drink. Look at me, i could advertise this stuff!

Just have to say that people really find it great to be able to drink and have a great time. And with the lot of available options from people to choose from, there just are those go to mixes that go well in almost any occasion that you are going to hold at your place.

And I love mixing a lot of different ingredients to be able to see the right mix to make it all taste right.

Spent a portion of the weekend getting some damson vodka on the go. Now just have to wait for a while...

Haven't had it, as the bottle was out of my price range, but this caught my eye at the liq last night:

Pogue Bourbon has a history dating back to the years following the Civil War. In 1876, the original Pogue distillery, Kentucky registered distillery No. 3, was established in Maysville, Mason County, Kentucky, very near a site often said to be the location of Kentucky's first distillery.

This caught my eye some time in the past, too:

After taking that photo the Lovely Mrs. DzM and I then enjoyed it. It was, as I recall, pretty tasty.
