On the edge of a cold, with a sore throat, i've been sticking to liquids: had a lovely tom yum soup last night with shrimp, baby bok choy, some other veggies and lots of spice to chase the cold out. Also been drinking some eucalyptus mint tea which goes surpsingly well with a bit of whiskey.

My favourite inexpensive whiskey these days is Forty Creek, out of Alberta. Lots of caramel type flavours, holds its flavour in a mix (like in a hippy tea) or with a bit of bubbly water. Their premioum lines are reasonabley priced, and wonderful.

40 Creek is indeed a fantastic whisky......but it's not from Alberta, but my hometown of Grimsby Ontario!

My surrogate mother when i was younger (manager of the comic book store i spent all my time at) was originally from Grimsby & Vineland, and i think this is the first time i've heard Grimbsy mentioned since!
