I have tickets booked but still don't know what my travel arrangements are or if I'm staying over yet. I have asked for the day off work but nobody's got back to me yet. They're always a bit like that with holidays and days off where I work. I thinking I might just book my hotel room anyway.

We're coming over from Germany, so what's the best and nearest Pub to the Apollo to have a drink and a litle to eat before the show?

Good stuff Hennybhoy. Not many pubs near the Apollo but OSheas is decent. You can get a good feed and a few beers in there. Plus, they will put whatever you want on music wise

There is a pub next door to the Apollo, can't remember its name, though the last time i was in there ,in 2010,it was full of head the balls.Even a hard drinking Geordie like myself knows when to draw a line, though its a good pub, previous visits were more enjoyable...... :

Seeing as my firm has still not got back to me I have finally taken things into my own hands and booked a hotel room anyway. I have made sure however that I have the option of free cancellation just in case they say I can't take the day off after the show. In this case we will have to resort to plan b.

Just wish the tickets would hurry up and arrive. :|

So O'Sheas is the place to be before the Apollo? Or is it? 8) Any recommendations for post-gig revelry? Preferably somewhere that stays open fairly late. :D

Would be good to have somewhere with other Pogues fan to go to.

Not keen on O'Shea's, there are better pubs to meet in surely.

Anyway, not sure what I'm doing yet. I have booked to stay over but still not sure if I've got Monday off yet officially.
