Why would they protest voting rights? Compelled protests don't seem particularly meaningful.

On who? Because black Americans and their supporters have braved much worse recently.

Let’s have actual soldiers facilitating and overseeing the movement of people through the lines so that when the attempts at voter suppression start the poll volunteers don’t just call the cops on everyone trying to exercise their right to vote.

The NBA has volunteered their practice location as a polling place in Florida, to prevent such future shortages in their immediate area.
