Will do Shaz, thanks. I'll try and find somewhere to log on next week, if not I'll talk to ye all after Croke park part 2.

Ah, so it is all part of a fiendish English plot. Just to have a ready-made excuse.

Look forward to hearing your eyewitness report from Croke Park, Bud. 8)

Brian Ashton must be heaving a huge sigh of relief that everyone came through unscathed.

Just been reading the reports of Dean Ryan haranguing the ref for Saracens' match-winning try. I feel a fine and suspension coming on. :)

Just a few days' worth of training to survive, then.
And apparently O'Driscoll should be back for Ireland. :)

Ah yes, what he described as "the mysteries of refereeing".

Ireland team announced for Sat - why oh why no Jerry Flannery or Neil Best? And not even a question mark over Dempsey!

And Stringer will be back in the XV to replace Boss if he's fit. Hmm.

And no place even in the 22 for Murphy, so there's no real alternative to Dempsey at all!

Can't understand that. Nor why Flannery, in particular, isn't in the starting XV.

So... Stringer is passed fit and back in the Ireland XV.

Robinson is injured and out of the England team. There are also big doubts about whether Wilkinson will be fit to play. Now there's a surprise...

Sigh, yes . . .

Don't know anything about this guy brought in to replace Robinson. I was quite surprised Sackey hasn't had another chance.

No, I don't really know anything about Strettle, except he plays for Quins. Sackey was injured, the last I heard... I don't know if he's fit again yet.

Ah, I'd missed that. Wonder, if Wilkinson doesn't make it, whether Ashton will pick Flood or Catt.

They're saying he'll pick Flood to start, with Catt on the bench. I'm not sure I'd do it that way round...

Yeah, just seen that in the Indy. I wouldn't either. :)

Perhaps Ashton doesn't trust Catt when it comes to kicking for points. But I think if I were him I'd go for the experience he offers. He's been on good form for London Irish too.

Predictions for the weekend:
France to beat Wales by 15-20
Scotland to scrape home against Italy - though I wouldn't back against Italy if they play the way they did against England.
Two scenarios for Ireland-England:
if Wilkinson doesn't play, Ireland to win by 10-15
if Wilkinson does play, it will be closer, but I'd still be backing Ireland for a win.

Hope you're having a good time on your hols, Bud!

Yes to prediction if England minus Wilkinson (who goalkicks? Flood? Farrell?)

Scotland and Italy to be close with one score between them.

France to coast it against Wales.

England are accused of playing mind games about Wilkinson's fitness:
http://sport.guardian.co.uk/sixnations2 ... 64,00.html

The thought of the English rugby set-up being organised well enough to be capable of playing mind games I somehow find utterly hilarious.

Whatever, Ireland to win this one. Enjoy Croke Park, Bud! 8)
