Censorship, eh, Bud?
Maybe he CAN tackle. But the evidence suggests that he WON'T tackle.

Apparently Brian Ashton has asked his "boss" Rob Andrew very nicely not to play Jonny W. (and his other England players) for Newcastle at the weekend. And Sir Rob has told him equally nicely where to stick his request.

I know, Me, Censored.

I see Ashton is going to name his team today in the hope they won't be played at the weekend. As you say no chance. The Irish should be well rested and raring to go when they arrive in a couple of weeks.

And maybe we'll get off to a good start this time.

My mistake... apparently Sir Rob supported Ashton in asking for the players to be rested. But Sir Rob's former club Newcastle have refused. Same result...

What are the odds on Wilkinson getting hurt? Pretty good I'd say. I really hope he plays in Croke Park. It would be a poorer game without him.

Yeah, it's always better to play against the full team, so I hope he plays at Croke. England without him probably shouldn't even bother turning up. But with him they might just give Ireland a game. But I think they'll get the backlash from last week.

Hope So. I don't think I could take another day like Sunday. My throat is just about recovered today.

Worsley is back and Morgan is at full back instead of the injured(again) Balshaw. Same otherwise as far as I can make out.

Yep, that seems right. Same team as played against Scotland in the first match. That is, of course, assuming that they don't get injured playing for their clubs at the weekend.

I had a look at a couple of other Forums over here and all of them (bar the Leinster tossers one) say Dempsey was/is shit. Now none of them are saying Murphy had a good game and that is fair enough.

My argument all the time has been that while neither of them are the best tacklers (ok they are brutal) at least if Murphy is at full back he gives you so many more options going forward.

But Leinster Fans are apparently as thick as shit and don't get it. I would'nt mind but I AM a Leinster Man. (Of course I don't inclusde myself in the thick ..............comment) 8)

Jonny Wilkinson is apparently "not fit" to play for Newcastle at the weekend after all. He's not being rested, oh no he isn't.

Ugh, just seen that! I'm now starting to twitch at the thought of him not being fit for the Ireland match. And The Scum claims Saracens won't rest Farrell either.

Yeah, I'd heard that Farrell was likely to be playing for Saracens. The other Newcastle internationals will be playing... and I think I read that Tindall and Morgan were likely to be playing for Gloucester?

Hoping that Jonny is just in need of a weekend off... I'd hate to see him miss the Ireland game.

Don't you just love the organisation of English Rugby at the highest level. It's more like a good comedy.

Hope Jonny is fit myself.......just so we can give him a proper beating. 8)

More like high farce   And it's pissing the Scots off as well, as Gloucester won't release their Scottish players either.

English rugby? The words 'bunk up' and 'brothel' and 'couldn't organise' spring to mind.

Indeed. But I'm sure they'll sort it out one day, won't they?

Blimey, that was a low-flying pig.
