At last a win for Wales, though it doesn't sound like it was the greatest match. But well done to them.

And it's not often you get a day when the NH has a 100% success rate against the major SH teams!

A good day out at Twickenham. Australia looked the more dangerous, but the England pack was dominant enough for the win. A few photos:

Yes out of all three games, by a country mile this was the one we played worse at, although we squandered 2 scoring chances which could of put the game to bed with 10mins to go!

Yes looks like i'll be going to Wales v Ireland, however will be out for a few beers for at least one of the others. Looking forward to it now.

Some stunning performances in the (Not the H) Cup this weekend, and some big surprises. Still a lot to be sorted out regarding QF qualification next weekend - should be a great (and very tense) weekend of rugby.

Where on earth is Billy!! 6 Nations.
Anyway just over a week to go, very much looking forward to kick off, next week. Anybody brave enough to make any predictions?
I reckon Ireland are favouries with England, Wales & France fighting for second spot. However Scotland will IMHO get a good result somewhere! (probably against Wales knowing our luck) cant see much else happening for Italy, but you never know!

Wherever you are, Billy, I hope things are ok! Be great to see you on here again.

I reckon Ireland should be strong favourites this year, they looked by some way the best of the NH teams in the autumn. But aside from that, I tend to agree with the French coach that any one of four teams could win it.

England are struggling with a growing injury list. Not sure that Farrell would've started, but the problems at centre and at lock, as well as in the front row, make it very difficult to predict how they'll do, or even who'll be playing!

And I agree that Scotland will probably give someone a shock. They looked to be improving in the autumn, good new coach they've got.

Anyway, tickets for England-Italy and England-Scotland arrived this week. Can't wait.

I'm off to Wales v Ireland, and will go out to the club for one of the other games. At Home this Friday with my first beer of 2015! (Dry January and 6 days of Feb!)
Billy aint been on for a few years though sadly as i would love to hear from him again.
Really looking forward to Friday.

Well it all kicks off tonight!

Ireland should be deserved favourites, I reckon, though it could all come down to the Wales-Ireland match.

Quick predictions:
Wales-England: A full-strength Welsh team, backed by a Friday-night crowd in Cardiff, should probably be too strong for an England team with major injury problems. Wales to win by 5-8.

Italy-Ireland: Italy haven't exactly looked great over the past year, and even without Sexton Ireland shouldn't have too much trouble with this one. Ireland to win by 15-20.

France-Scotland: It's not beyond the bounds of possibility to imagine Scotland causing something of a shock here, and they certainly seem to be improving. But Saint-André has picked what looks like a pretty strong team. France to win by 10-15.

Congratulations England, blew us off the park second half. Where the hell do Wales go from here for the World Cup!!
Scotland played well and had some good posseion not many teams stop France scoring a try in Paris.
Italy v Ireland as expected stout defence for 70 mins Ireland pulled away in the final 10!

I managed to miss the first 30 minutes of the Cardiff match. Turned on the TV, saw the score, thought "here we go again"... but it was an impressive second-half display by England. Though whether it says anything about the situation at the RWC in the autumn I don't know.

Scotland are improving. Hard to tell about France, but they're never that bothered about the 6N in a World Cup year.

Ireland missed Sexton. If he's back for the rest of the tournament, they'll be stronger.

There's be some interesting team selection decisions for all teams before next weekend.
