Been watching the European Under-21s tournament...England are fooking dreadful...apart from Smalling and Jones at the back..a promising future partnership for United.

McLeish the new manager of the Villa,''do i not like that'' or to put it another way''frankly Brian i am appalled''.Not a lot we can do about it now,but i'll be more then happy to buy a season ticket from any of those so-called loyal fans who said they wouldn't attend any more games at Villa Park.No man is greater then the club, though somehow i can't imagine the Holte Enders chanting 'Big Eck's' name,a bit similar to the Spurs fans reaction to George Graham......

Going to the game v Barcelona in Washington, I can't wait!!!
The last time I was this excited was for the Pogues in Detroit.
Is there anybody from the Washington DC area that can recommend anything (on a budget!) for 3 adults and 7 kids (ages 8-13)?
We'll be doing the Smithsonion, White House, and Mall stuff. We're staying out near Dulles airport, so anything cool to see in Northern Virginia?
Where is a good place to park the car for the day, a small walk to the attractions, but with a reasonable rate.
Having said that, I'm used to Toronto prices, the US is always a deal! :D
Thanks in advance.

I hope they let us have the ball a bit more often than at Wembley :(

I hope you enjoy it. Kids first Utd game is a special event. Only cool dads bring their children up as Red Pogues Fans. 8)

Thanks Soulfinger.
Yeah, my kids are totally counting down the days, I didn't take them to Toronto for United v Celtic last year as it was a lad's night out (not too damn cold Philip!).
Regretted it ever since (not the night, that was fantastic).
My mate and his kids are from Blackburn, so I'm expecting them to be wearing Barca kits!
Although I did have him wearing a United kit last year....I took photos to blackmail him! :D
Cheers!

It's nice people are interested in these pre-season friendlies..would be embarrassing if nobody turned up! I'm genuinely pleased, but to me it's just...blaaaaa pre-season...roll on the season..although I don't go anymore, I still get the butterflies before a match...anyway, enjoy the game, those who are going.

Being in this part of North America, we don't get the opportunity to see two great teams play in front of 93,000 people(it's a sell-out) very often. So when it knocks we answer! :D
Plus.....United v Barca won't be a friendly, there's a score to settle.
Glory, Glory.......

Brilliant..... ask him when they are going to get a proper fourth stand at Ewood instead of that cowshed. I worked in Blackburn for a few years and that question always wound up the peasants. :)
