The manager keeps maintaining that 'its too early for them to consider promotion' - is this the greatest bluff calling ever? :D

Well, some judicious purchases - they have the money, I'm told - could ease their way back to the First Division and maybe even help to keep them there. But like their manager, I'm counting no chickens. Forest can be their own worst enemy sometimes.

One of forests young stars - Paul Anderson - heralds from my home town of melton Mowbray - thus am following his progress with real interest :D

I have also just learnt that I have had my rest day cancelled to work on the Leicester v Forest game on the 27th Feb where we will hae to keep Leicester 'fans' seperate from the many many many forest fans who will consider themselves somewhat gleefull from the recent 5-1 thrashing of Leicester at the city ground (all in all a receipe for confrontation if ever there was)......

Not so good for the very unfortunate Togo team :(

Only Palace could sell England's most promising teenage striker (for a pittance), then put a defender up front who goes on to score a hat trick.
.

I think we might have bought the wrong player off you!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!??!?!

In all seriousness, is Moses any good?

Oh and keeping on thread; any news yet??? I've got some Pogues virgins wanting to attend!

Mark,

Moses has bags of potential, he is a great player but I suspect that he needs the right manager to allow him to fulfill that potential.

As to whether you bought the wrong player, take a look at the goal he scored for us against Barnsley:

I’m looking forward to seeing him play, and to be fair to the lad he’s made a brave decision to sign for a lesser club but at least he will get chance to play. The likes of Palacios & Valencia are examples of playing their football with us and getting the big move after a couple of years rather than signing for Arsenal, City or whatever at a young age and disappearing into the reserves behind proven international stars.

I’ve heard the talk about him, but am always a bit wary when someone gets rave reviews in the Championship because we’ve had our fingers burned with Scotland, Gomez etc but here’s hoping this lad will be different!

In an ideal world I would have liked him to have stayed with us, naturally, however given that as is well known we need cash so he had to go.

As for signing for a 'lesser' club, I think he has made the right decision. Over the years we have seen our promising youngsters signing for big clubs (or Spurs) only to sit on the bench/in the reserves/loaned out to smaller clubs thereby never fulfilling their potential. At Wigan hopefully he will manage to get a regular run out with the first team.
