If England were playing football on my lawn, I'd set the dog on them.

[If I had a dog, that is. Setting the cat on them doesn't sound the same. Though the cat that lives in my house can be quite scary.]

I can't get excited about england..tedious football..moronic anthem-singing, plastic chair-throwing followers..but it's the national team playing the national game and only available on internet pay per view..fookin' disgrace.

Actually I'm sort of sorry I didn't watch it now. Sounds like there was some good comedy value.

Beckham s role will only be as a sub last nights game was really a chance to give other fringe players a game,as for being man of the match, utter pish Brucie,if i had any pace i could have run on to those so-called brilliant passes.Lennon and Wright -Phillips have an abundance of pace and obviously would thrive on that kind of service.I seemed to recall in the early 70S a campaign by so called experts[Fleet Street hacks] to get Bobby Charlton reinstated back into the England squad,1971-72,as great a passer wor Bobby was, his legs had gone. The same applies to MR.Posh... 8)
