Yeah Dutch under 21 squad crowned European Champions!

What a great start to this football summer. Now it's up to the big boys. We drew with Australia today but the Aussies were playing hard and actually injured three of our men (in a friendly???)

Pete Holidai of The Radiators drew Australia in a Sweep at the college where he teaches rock music. Is this another omen? He's a Chelsea fan.

An omen? Could be, given that we are inevitably gonna win the World Cup.... sorry, I just laughed so hard it dislodged something.

And how unlucky is it that they wound up in, quitle possibly, the toughest group? There's not a walk over in the bunch.

I'm just saying that the other spot to the next round is up for grabs. There's not a minnow in the bunch unlike some other groups.

JOHN HARTSON today joined West Bromwich Albion on a two-year deal. And Celtic Chief Executive Peter Lawwell paid tribute to the player's "tremendous contribution" to Celtic since he joined in August 2001.

The Chief Executive said: "Over the last five years, John has made a tremendous contribution to Celtic and played an important role in the success which the club has enjoyed.

"Everyone at the club wishes John all the very best for the future and needless to say, he will always be welcome at Celtic Park."

Hartson signed for Celtic in 2001 from Coventry City and made 201 appearances for the Hoops, scoring 110 goals.

The Welsh striker said: "The feeling I got every time I scored a goal in front of all those people at Parkhead is something that will live with me for the rest of my life.

"It's been an honour and a privilege to play for so long at such great club and for such incredible supporters."
