Of course, all of this means we all get to see TV channels replaying Keegan's 'Love It' rant over and over again. It is only beaten by Delia's "C'mon, let's be 'avin you" for pure comedy gold.

I don't understand why so many people think Keegan's 'love it if we beat them' interview is so funny or embarrassing. I remember watching it and being quite impressed at how he came across. It was clearly totally spontaneous, he just found himself at the mercy of his emotions for a wee moment. It would have been a bit cringey if he had been blurting out soundbites and football-speak (like 'Ronglish', there is definitely a language football fans recognise as 'Keeganese') but he wasn't. He was simply, as they say in Glasgow, getting 'wired right in there'.
I must admit, I do quite like wee Kevin, although, as a 10 year old Celtic nut, I indirectly held him responsible for the hoops losing Kenny Dalglish when Liverpool signed Kenny as his 'replacement', upon his departure to Hamburg. (Was Dalglish a better player than Keegan? By miles. Is Keegan a better manager than Dalglish? By even more miles.) I reckon he can be a real motivator.
Funnily enough, shortly before Celtic appointed Gordon Strachan, there were strong rumours among the Celtic support that Keegan was being considered/ had been asked/ had begged for the job/ had knocked the job back/ would appear at Celtic Park the following morning wearing a Celtic scarf etc, when Keegan was seen looking at houses in the Glasgow area. I personally don't think that would have been a bad shout. Wee Gordon's doing fine, I think Kevin would have probably gone about it in much the same way. I think they go about their football in quite a similar way.
Kevin Keegan could be as good for Newcastle United this time around as Martin O'Neill was for Celtic....

Riding the crest of a wave there Walshy. For a while, at the start of the season, I thought there was a chance you'd end up playing us next season.

After beating Luton 2-1, the O's are back in 6th place.

We are going to fuck this up at some point though.

yeah im inclined to agree we didnt exacvtly play to our finest in the first half did we? but 3 points so im happy! although we can be ashamed of ourselves anyway, 4 strikers who are regular startes (5 until recently, im so very gald to see the back of Mr McFadden) and a few attacking midfielders and still our most prolific scorer is our centreback! oh dear.
