Great result for your lot, moose. 8)

And after what you did to Man U too... Perhaps the Premier League isn't quite what it likes to think it is.

I think if you asked most Cov fans they would say the Blackburn win was sweeter, even Dowie sadi so. Blackburn had there full first team out and they conceeded 4 times. Although when Cov beat United they deserved too but it was a bunch of kids that never played in front of a couple of 100 people before, apart from Carrick & the goalie.

You're not eating a prawn sandwich by any chance, are you Mark?

Good win for your lot at the weekend too. It'd be nice if you could do the same to Chelski in the next round.

Wigan are officially tracking him, along with Reading, apparently the figure quoted is 3 million, however Ray Ranson will officially take over the club today as he has now acquired 90% of the shares so it could be interesting.
Ranson all along has stated that he wants the club in the Prem as quick as possible and obviously this wont be achieved if you sell your best players, on the other hand by selling him he could get a very quick return on his investment.
Watch this space

Sam's gone. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. OK, the football wasn't great and some of Sam's tactics were strange to say the least but we have to realise that we ain't going to be challenging for anything quickly. It takes time and sacking and changing managers as often as we do is not the way forward.Good luck Sam in your next job. With patience he would have got it right.

The whole set up at Newcastle never ceases to amaze me. The club have not won a thing for decades but still believes that it is one of the big clubs?
There is no doubting the loyalty of the fans and the massive support that Newcastle get but they never seem to be satisfied.
Now that Sam has gone it will cost the club another fortune(funded by the fans) to pay him off and get a replacement. So Harry? comes in and in 8 months time you are in the same situation, what then?
Instead of the Chairman standing on the terraces and getting caught up with the emotion of the fans, he needs to take a step back and have a realistic look at how a club needs to build with the same manager over a period of time. All managers should be given the minimum of two full seasons.

I think there should be some rule whereas you cant be sacked until at least 18 months into your contract.

Why? If any of us don't do our jobs properly we get sacked. And we sure as fuck don't get a multi-million pound pay-off like some managers do.

What do you class as doing his job properly?

Winning every game they play?

It takes time to build something a football club, not 24 games and a fortune lashed at it

Actually "we" dont...
It is illegal to sack people without following due process, if you do you can be taken to tribunal for unfair dismissal.
To do your job properly you need to have a job description....i am sure that Sams never said that you need to be liked by the Newcastle fans and the Media.

Looks like its Harry for the toon.

How long will they give him before the chants of "Shearer Shearer" are sounding out round the ground at St James Park?

I'll say 2 months
