I’ve been in a Philadelphia blizzard and somehow snuck into Ireland when all the ash from the Icelandic(?) volcano cancelled flights. Well, I was coming from the other direction... LOL. They also played my town after raging wildfires that shut everything down and saw military tanks on our freeway on-ramps, keeping people from moving freely. That was weird. I was shocked that we reopened things just in time. Though the downtown area was safest from fire at the time.

Got to walk across the snowy freeway in Philadelphia (along with a few other Pogues fans) because there was no getting a cab from Northern Liberties (for us!) then thru snowy Chinatown. I still am bemused when I go there in fairer weather. No snow up to my knees? Weird.

I’ve read here about your machinations getting rides and such and remain impressed. 8)

They say things you were thinking of before you fall asleep can drift into your dreams. Had a dream that I was pregnant and stuck in a siblings garage. Couldn’t get the door open.

Looked it up in a dream interpretation book at Borders (back in the day) and it said: “You will be unhappy in your marriage and your children will be unattractive.”

My object of affection at the time was a damn good looking man who worked at the Detroit airport. He was hot as hell, so... I was like, “that’s unpossible!

Ugly babies, LOL.

The last Brixton Pogues gig I go to was entirely thanks to the raft's very own Fr McGreer. Who is a legend. 8)

And then there was one six months later, on a summer night in a forest. For which the transport worked out perfectly. So sort of cracked it in the end.

Your gig record is impressive too. Those were the days, eh?

Legend? That's a very overly used adjective and rarely deserved. I'm disappointed in you.

Yes, those were the days :(

I'm disappointed in me too. Regularly. But not as disappointed as my mother is.

Authentic knocked Bob Baffert to the ground in the winner’s circle after Thousand Words did the same before the race.
LOL.
As long as the horses are ok.

Mo Donegal and Cyberknife all the way.

Though I’m usually in Reno for this and am not betting.

Cyberknife!
