Probably not being broadcast just 'cause it sounds obscene.

"I got a rash from Dwile Flonking too much."

I'll have you know that Dwile Flonking is a well-respected sport in these parts! Today I shall be mostly watching the Ringing The Bull.

Enjoyed the BMX-ing yesterday, and it was great to see Fr McGreer winning the first medal for a Medusan since Johan From Sweden won the Shove-Halfpenny in Athens.

Last night James Fearnley was disqualified from the Running From The Stage To Have A Pee and Getting Back In Time For The Next Number event when he was forced to double back to the starting line having failed to pay due attention to the Setlist. He believed he had set off before The Sickbed of Cuchulainn, which does not require his immediate participation but had in fact commenced his run just before The Bottle of Smoke, which does. Andrew Ranken thus won the event for his leisurely retreat from The Sickbed, but was, by general consent, demoted from Gold to Bronze on the grounds that a drummer may only ever abandon his post before And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda. The fact that this number was dropped from the event under the new rules this week is the only factor that prevented his disqualification. Meanwhile, Shane MacGowan was foiled in his attempt to Run The Encores Together as One Block of Five Songs when Philip Chevron determinedly put down his guitar after "The Irish Rover", thus depriving MacGowan of the support required to complete the event.

This sounds very exciting. I'm hoping that all future Pogues events will be available for viewing on the red button.

Chevron, the one man in the team you can rely on to stick to the rules.

You should have entered a team in the rowing

You, being the smallest would be the cox (keeping the rhythm). Could you imagine the fucking confusion   Even getting Big Mac into the boat would be worth a Bronze

Chevron: "1,2,3,4, in, out, in, out,.......NO Shane!!!!, For fuck's sake!!!! Listen to the beat and start rowing when i give you the nod. And try to keep up with Rankin and Hunt, they're the boys who'll get us to the finish line. The others are just splashing around every now and then"

MacGowan: "Tssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhsssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhh"

Spider: "COME ON YOU BASTARD!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Chevron: "OK!!!! here we go..... 1,2,3,4,.......in, out, in................Oh i fucking give up........."

Guest: "What did he say?? Is his megaphone restricted to 68Db or something"

'Lympic Rowing, the new metaphor for a Pogues gig. And i can't wait to get soaked in Paris 8) 8)

Olympic interview of the day
Bloke from crowd interviewed on his way out of the stadium on BBC radio: "Yeah, well, you've got to enjoy it, because all the girls are really hot." I assume he had been watching the women's shot put final.

Olympic news of the day
Usain Bolt is apparently going to have a trial with The Pogues, because someone told him that Mr Fearnley's team is lacking some of the pace it used to have.

Events to look out for on the red button
The Men's "Are You Looking At Me" Stare-Off is worth watching.
And of course the Sack Race and the Potato Race from the Olympic stadium.

So...

Tomorrow we have the climax of the Marathon Ogling to look forward to.

Followed by the Closing Ceremony, which will culminate in the entire audience pointing at London Mayor Boris Johnson and chanting, in unison, "You're not funny. You're not clever. You're just another smug posh privileged self-publicising Tory." At least, that's what should happen. I shall find myself very disappointed if it does not.

I'm gonna miss the 'Lympics. Straight up, they've been brilliant. London has put on a magnificent show that all of the UK should be proud of.

The Team GB athletes were fantastic, the cyclists, track and field, boxers (not as good as our Katie though  ), Gymnasts, every single one of them 8)

Jamaican sprinters 8)
South African swimmer 8)
Chinese Divers 8)
Ladies Beach Volleyball

Denise Lewis, yes i would :P

Forget the shite talk about comercialism and sponsorship deals (Coca Cola & McDonald's etc......). blah blah blah....... When it comes down to it, it was damn good entertainment for 2 weeks.

Well done Great Britain and fuck the begrudgers 8)

Good for them. And about time too. The sight of Tory politicians attempting to get reflected glory from a section of the population they are determinedly persecuting is pretty sickening.
