RIP Eddie Butler, Welsh rugby and broadcasting legend. At 65, far too young.

The 6 Nations on TV will never be the same again.

RIP Eddie, one of the very best!

Meanwhile...In proper rugby, Salford's collection of cast offs and little hopers have defied the odds and exceeded most people's expectations by reaching the play off semi finals. Sadly, they'll have to face St Helen's without Brodie Croft who has been magnificent. Many hangovers expected if we manage to pull of an unexpected victory. UTFR!

Another character of the game gone RIP Eddie Butler, a bit of a dark horse our man Eddie, public school educated, plus Oxbridge, yet he captained working class team Pontypool and Wales and was a staunch supporter of Welsh Independence!

So with less than a year to the RWC, Gatland's back for Wales and it looks like Eddie Jones is on his way out for England. To be fair, both teams have had a pretty poor year. England in the autumn internationals were terrible. Except for the last 10 minutes against NZ and the game against a Japan team that looked poor themselves.

Interesting times.

Yep less than a year before the World Cup and its chop and change time. Pivac wasnt producing and neither was Jones, so perhaps the correct call.

I think Wales got it right. They seem to have a plan.

Whereas the English RFU have acted either too late (there's a strong case for saying Jones should've gone after the 2021 6N) or too late, with no specific plan, or coach in line, to get things right before the RWC. Typical.

It Gattland had gone to England (can't believe England did not go knocking) i honestly believe England would win the next World Cup.

Just had a look at some of my previous posts, i first contributed to this thread in 2007......i was still playing club rugby then, and my son was not yet 1 year old, he's now 16! Worth mentioning that i've worn my beloved Llandeilo RFC jersey twice in recent years as I have turned out for the veterans. One charity match we played in raised over £10k back in 2019. Cheers. Aled

I suspect England were just too slow off the mark. Again.

As was the case with Andy Farrell and Shaun Edwards.

Great to hear that you're still turning out for a game occasionally, Aled!

Where does the time go?
