Fantastic! Are these orange flames glass?

There was a exhibition of Pogues inspired paintings in London a while ago, can't remember the details but it was by a friend of someone on here or on the Shane forum, also very impressive stuff but totally different from yours.

That is cast bronze of a devil head coming out of a heart. An image from a dream when I was about 4 years old.

Yes, since I work with molten glass I wanted to find a way to make glass look like fire.

It's all gorgeous. I need to win the lottery.

Yes, I promise, I'm going to find you a gallery here. I've got to pick and choose the right one. I'm asking around. {fingers crossed}

Mesillia New Mexico (outside of Las Cruces)has a few nice little gallaries...I was wondering if you have ever been over there. The KwithaK's peice would sell there in a heartbeat. For a little town it draws a suprising amount of collectors.

No brass; it is forged iron, cast bronze, blown and sculpted glass. Thanks for your comments!

i really like the movement implied in the flames (my favorite part). it kinda serves to remind us that, as gates, they'll be moving quite frequently, but, being the gates of hell, they'll be moving with much more fervor. add to the fact that glass is rounded instead of flat and you can get the feeling that this motion continues forver. cool stuff. :)

I hope I'm not repeating what anyone else has posted in the past, but over on the PRS site, they have an art page with some Shane inspired pictures http://www.shanemacgowan.com/artwork.shtml

Two pictures I would draw your attention to are the ones by Bec Curtis. As well as obviously being very talented she is a huge Pogues fan, a great laugh, and a nice person. Alright Bec, that's all you get from me this year, now fe*k off. :twisted:
