Here is a link I've been using over the years. I bought the CD Rom from them about two years ago. Somewhat helpful. What do you think of this Mr. Fintan?

A shameful case - Cúis Náire

Post Tue Jul 18, 2006 10:55 am

A Chairde Gael,

Mar is eol ag go leor agaibh, thóg an PSNI ár gcara, Máire Nic an Bhaird,
ar na mallaibh agus choinnigh siad thar oíche í ar an ábhar gur labhair sí
ina teanga dúchais leo. Is ábhar náire é, 8 mbliain i ndiaidh síniú
Comhaontú Aoine an chéasta, go bhfuil an stát go fóill i mbun feachtais cos
ar bolg in éadan na Gaeilge agus ar Ghaeilgeoirí araon.

Beidh cás Máire ag dul os comhair na cúirte ar an chéadaoin ar a 10. Tá
Máire ag glacadh cás i gcoinne na bpéas chomh maith agus beidh sí ag troid
a cás trí mhéan na Gaeilge. Tá sé rí-thábhachtach go dtagann Gaeilgeoirí
agus cairde na Gaeilge i mBéal Feirste agus níos faide anonn amach i mbun
agóide, ní amháin le tacú le Máire ach le taispeáin don stát nach
nglacfaidh Gaeilgeoirí leis an leatrom seo a thuilleadh. Gurbh ionann
Cearta teanga agus cearta daonna.

Bígí i láthair le bhur dtoil.

10r.n, An Chúirt cois an Lagáin, Béal Feirste.

As many of you are aware, Máire Nic an Bhaird, an Irish speaker from
Belfast was recently arrested and detained overnight for speaking in Irish
to the PSNI. It's a disgrace, 8 years after the signing of the Good Friday
Agreement, that the State, in many respects, continues to operate an openly
hostile position in relation to the language and Irish speakers.

Máire's case will be going before the Court at 10 o clock at laganside
court house. Máire will also be taking a case out against the PSNI and she
will be fighting her case through Irish. It's extremely important that
Irish speakers and supporters of the language from throughout Belfast and
further afield come out to protest. Not only to support Máire, but to
demonstrate to the State that we will no longer accept this ongoing
discrimination against our native tongue. That language rights are human
rights.

Please attend the protest outside the court house.

10a.m, Wednesday the 19th of July, Laganside Courts, Belfast.

Good luck to the girl, it is in this day and age totally unbelievable not to be able to use your own language in your own country. Many of my older friends did time for this sort of thing , what i will say is that it worked, with the Welsh Language Act of 1993.

Someone who could found a traslation for it?

"Amhrán na bhFiann" in Irish, "The Soldier's Song" in English. One of those rare occasions on which the Irish people are more familiar with the Irish lyrics than the translation. Sort of, as a quick earful at international Soccer games will reveal.

Hehe, this reminds me of how I was once stood at a Dublin bus station. There were two older women talking to each other in Irish. A lad in his late teens passes by, looks at them and says: "G'wan feck off to yer own feckin' country, would ya?" and walks away....

Blimey! I remember being told by a man of Gwent on the streets of Cardiff that he thought all us Welshies (welsh speakers he meant) should be banned from speaking Welsh in public, his two mates were very embarressed by his outburst.
Cheers
