Hi It is Seattle again. I am going to tell you my story I wrote called China

People in China eat rice only. Well I heard they eat rice with different vegetables every day. Years ago China did not have the great wall of China. They built it because it protected them. The great wall of China protects them because there were bad people on one side of the wall and good people on the other side of the wall. The bad people were called the Huns. Did you know China is the third biggest country in the world? In China they have big temples. The dragon is a symbol of their country. In China they have the four gentle man named the bamboo, orchid, chrysanthemum, and the plum blossom. I think China is cool!
The Pogues have inspired a bunch
And now it's time to write along,
Because we are able to see the Pogues play a song :) :)

Great to hear from you again Seattle! I love your picture, am looking forward to your story. Want to give us a preview of what it's about?

Either I didn't read to the end of the thread, which is possible given that I'm a senile old bat, or my post got added after the story was posted. Lovely story, Seattle! Way to go sweetie.

Little Girls and Dragons...

Post Tue Nov 04, 2008 7:59 pm

I like your essay on China, Seattle. Very interesting. Have they been talking about China at school?
Can you write a different story - a fiction maybe about someone who lives in China...a little girl and a scary dragon, maybe? When you have time, of course!

You mean because you can't write very fast and your brain wants to tell the story too quick?

Hm...a story can be told - not just written down on paper. My children used to tell me the story and I would type it for them. It's not cheating because the story is still yours. I wrote my first story when I was very little like you. I think you're clever enough to find a way to do it if you want to.

Uh-oh...look out!!

Hi,my name is Seattle this is a story called The Girl And The Dragon

Once upon a time there was a dragon that lived by a swamp. And a girl that lived by the China wall. The girl's name was Cheyenne. And the girl liked animals. Her favorite animals are mountain lions, pandas, and dragons. Her favorite dragon was a red dragon. One day she went to explore by the lake and she got to a bush and she quickly knelt down and peaked her head up over the bush and saw a red dragon drinking water. The girl was amazed and she could not believe hers eyes. It was her favorite dragon that she liked the most. She ran home as fast as she could to tell her parents. They were surprised and they went to go see where it was but by the time they got there the red dragon was gone. When her parents left, the dragon came back and when she saw it again she knew she could trust herself of what she had seen with her very own eyes. The dragon had green eyes and red slimy skin. When she looked at the dragon one more time then looked back at how she would get home then back at the dragon and the dragon was flying home and she knew what she saw with her own eyes that day and was amazed how she saw her favorite dragon.

The end.

Wow! What a super story. I enjoyed reading it very much. You must have worked hard, Seattle. Got any more tales of China up your sleeve? It's a big country. Your audience is waiting to read whatever you write.

I am very impressed with your story Seattle, and I am truly amazed.

I really liked that story and I liked the way you planned it, and how the story fit together, plus you used lots of interesting words. Well done!! I knew you would like a challenge... 8)
