Hi Seattle, it is so much fun to see your pictures and read about your sister! I really like the picture with all of the band members in it. It reminds me of the photos I took of the band a few years ago, with the wood floor bouncing under my feet.... I've met your Dad, and I must say that is a remarkable likeness of him, he looks so happy holding you.

Thank you for sharing your drawings with us. I can't wait for your surprise. :)

Er, was that on purpose, Seattle? Has sibling rivalry raised its head on the good raft Medusa?

Seattle, lovely drawing!! But Jamaica does look like maybe she has been looking for your best skirt to wear to a birthday party. You had better watch her closely as that is what sisters like to do!!

Can you do a really small drawing for me? I have a small kitten and DzM has a cute puppy so maybe you can draw us a very small drawing of them togther?

DzM *thinks* he is cute like his puppy... :D

In my sisters family picture I think my daddy looks like a clown, my mommy looks like a witch, my sister looks smiley and I look evil. This is ridiculous how she made me look. I am going to make an evil picture of my sister.

 I can't believe everybody thinks I look so evil. I am really a good happy girl.

I like my family picture especially the way I put my sister I really think my sister looks evil and mad. But I think my sister is funny in the picture. And she is funny for real too. I love to make art work and drawings. I liked the time when we went to Boston. I love to spend time with my family. Oh, and I wanted to tell you I made a story about my Boston trip My dad said he will put my Boston story on the website. I love to read, type and write. I like school too. :!:

I agree, however on first viewing It, I thought it said "The man is the boss" but then I did realise that it said "Mom"(which is also the way it is in our house :D ). My daughter also likes to draw, especially outside with chalk, she is saving up her money for that new 3D sidewalk chalk (which I am also curious to see how well it works)...great job on both topics by Seattle and Jamaica :D .

Jamaica, I am SURE people meant "evil" not in a bad way but in a devilish impish way. You look mischievous and mysteriously amused at whatever it is you're thinking, not "evil" in the traditional sense. Do not worry! It's a great picture of everyone and you all look lovely.

kgrunt: yes I though it was "the man is the boss" too, which is to me a little funnier than "the mom is the boss" although both are very funny, but for different reasons. :D

Seattle's Boot Camp

Post Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:33 am

Come on girly, more drawings!!

It's not a holiday you know...I want to see some hard work in here.

My daughter, Anna is 12 and she had to do a sketch of herself for a homework project last night and she did a really good job in the end. She got a bit cross while she was doing it though, because it took her a loooooong time and she had to do lots of rubbing outs. :P

This is my Boston story I wrote on my Mom's computer.

BOSTON
by
Seattle

When I was in Boston I got to see the Pogues 2 nights in a row. When I was at the Pogues show Philip Chevron dedicated a song to me and my sister called Thousands are sailing. And we got to go history hunting. And I learned about Paul Revere telling everybody that the British were coming when everybody was sleeping. and you do know who won the war? The Americans won it.

Even when I was in Boston the second night a movie was on about Paul Revere telling the same thing. Do you know how many people died in the war 25 000. the year that happened was 1776. I hope everyone was OK? When we were in Boston we went to a park. They hung pirates and witches there. WOW!!!!! Amaaaaazing!!!!! And I learned of other cool stuff. And When I was at Boston I went to Paul Reveres house. I like learning new and cool stuff. And I went to a aquarium there. And when I was there I touched a starfish and then I held a different starfish. I wish you can go there too. It was fun in Boston I want to go there again some day. I like going to Boston. I wish I can go back to Boston to see another band some day when I have kids. But I am still little. The End
The Pogues have inspired a bunch
And now it's time to write along,
Because we are able to see the Pogues play a song :) :)

Thats a great story Seattle. I'm glad you liked your time in my hometown. I loved learning about the American Revolution when I was small and I even went to school across the street from Paul Revere's house so I've been there many times. I'm sure you'll visit Boston again and there is still loads of fun stuff to do there.

There was a photo of Seattle with the Democrat Presidential Hopeful, Senator Obama. It created some adult-themed controversy so that photo, description, and ensuing conversation was moved to another topic under Politics & World Events. For the sake of posterity I think it's appropriate for the original content to also live here. So in quoted form:

Clash Cadillac wrote:Seattle made a note for Barack Obama in hopes that she might be able to give it to him during his visit to South Dakota today. The pink slip of paper in Obama's hand is the note. Seattle is the one with the shirt that reads "Yes We Can" on the back.
