Or is that just Darryl drawn in a ghostly fashion? I'm seeing L-R Terry, Philip, James, Shane, Andrew, Jem, Spider, Darryl, and then possibly another mysterious ninth person. Joey keeping watch? The sound man? The Ghost of Orpheum Past? Seattle, do tell us which picture you used for your model! :P

I may have mixed up Jem and Darryl; always forget who stands where on that end.

Here is the photo Seattle used...

Hmmm, I could swear there's eight in her drawing--that little one in the back to Shane's left would be Andrew. I mean, it looks like someone on the drums even though he's not visible in the photograph. She must have put him in from memory! :P

Seattle, ask your parents to stop playing greedy bastards and buy you colours or coloured pencils. Art has made a step forward since monochrome petroglyphs.

Wh-wh-wh-wha-a-a-a-at???? :?

Seattle, please pay little or no attention to these last two. They mean well but have been bonked on the head.

this is MY personal favorite of your EXCELLENT drawings. It truly captures James. Isn't James GREAT to watch on stage? I wish I had half as much energy.

I loved drawing when I was your age, too. And I still do. I hope you still like to draw when you're old like me!

I hope I get to meet you and the rest of your family at a Pogues concert someday.

Have a bit of decency when talking to a little girl for God's sake, MacRua. I was a graphic artist for a while, and black and white is what we used. Seattle probably uses a whole lot of stuff - and it's neither here nor there. Anyway, B & W scans better.

I like your pictures, Seattle. I do a lot of drawing as well and once wrote a children's book about a funny little bird. It was black and white. My favourite picture to draw is a pencil drawing of an old house and a lighthouse with a sea in the background. My children love to draw and paint as well - plus they like the Pogues too...just like YOU!

I doubt Seattle can understand she has inadvertently wandered into the middle of the Pro-Joey vs. Anti-Joey Pseudo-War Conflict (IrishRover, I'm talkin' to you); and I'd guess MacRua was teasing Clash and Mrs. Clash rather than making any criticism of Seattle's artistic choice to use monochrome; but really, let's do remember she's a little girl and she might not get all the subtleties of humor that we adults are picking up on immediately.

Seattle sweetie your drawings are spectacular all around. I bet we see a real live Pogues album cover from you in about 15 years. It'll be London galleries before long and you won't need to be stopping to do piddly album art after that so they better get you fast before you get too expensive for them to hire.

Seattle, the other night in the local, I attempted some drawings on the dart board. Everyone laughed at my sheer incomptence. Any tips would be gratefully received!! 8) 8)

The kids have a trove of art supplies as we encourage them to express themselves through art. Seattle selected her own media for her latest "projects". Your comment should be taken by Seattle as a direct insult and I will explain it to her as such.

The expression is completely perfect, isn't it? You can see the mischief inside him, I bet he's thinking OH it's grand to be a pogue I can't wait to go flying through the air again! :P

I got a slight sense that MacRua was making a weak attempt at humor, or what passes for such in a bog far, far away.

Still, it was a totally churlish, unthinking, downright nasty post which most folks would've taken down and apologized for after they sobered up and realized what an oaf they'd made of themselves when speaking to an adorable, talented little girl whose parents obviously love her very much. Maybe MacRua was cheesed off that Seattle was getting too much attention.

On the plus side, what a magnificent choice of vocabulary! Monochrome petroglyphs! Bravo!!

Oi, even here the casual brutishness of internet communication. MacRua, give it a rest, at least in this thread.

A preparation for the hard life of an artist, constantly torn into pieces by merciless critics? ;)

Seattle's Dad will simply explain what "uncultured philistine" means, and surely our young artist will be drawing away again between episodes of Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go!
