being a tattooist i can say that your back is THE most plentiful canvas you can supply ................to disregard the lower back out of fashion only goes to show a regard for fashion (hence your anti becomes the norm) I consider on my pieces the extent of the piece as a whole .........something to mimick the natural flow of the body lines ..............i.e. my opinion utilize the lower back as a part of the whole piece and you set yourself apart to not utilize the flow could serve to be self defeating as far as natural flow for the sake of trendy vanity........think outside the box..tattoo your whole back..the biggest single word I can express to you is CONTINUITY!.................Paulie

let me explain like this ...most powdered pigment is the same as any other ....oil paint, wall paint, color dye etc the difference is in the CARRIER ( which makes it non toxic or very toxic) powdered pigment is all the same shit as any other shit which means is does have trace elements of heavy metals.. and if you are getting your trophy 50 cent piece tattoo it wont make any difference as far as exposure to any carcinogenic type situation..get one or dont but dont slag on the people who do........ the exception being red which are not cadmium anymore..hope this made sense without giving away any trade secrects.....

I got two tattoos on the arms and am not opposed to getting more, but I can't help but notice how absolutley beautiful they look after the first few days when the ink is fresh on the skin. But I guess everything aesthetic loses its beauty if you have to look at it every day. Does anybody else feel this way?

Also I got into an argument with this dude who says you should use Neosporin after getting ink. I said that Neosporin is bad as it heals the skin and possibly damages the tattoo and that one should use lotion instead. Can anyone back this up?

Everything new is better. Guess that's why it is best to get something timeless. As for lotion, that's what I was told as well. I only have one. A cheetah at a full run across my calf, from the back to the front, in color. I think it is very good. And I'm happy with it, and will be all my life. I'm thinking this year will result in a new tatoo. So much is going down right now that I feel the need/desire to make a mark of it. Really significant stuff.

Tattoos not to get (part one):

a dragon eating a slice of watermelon underneath the word "ganja"

a) because it's won't be original. I know someone who has this
b) because it's a bit shit!

Hey Niall, is this the "beatific" Shane (as a friend said he looked like) you're talking about?

ALWAYS watch the skies Chichi, always... that's where the Raelians are gonna come from. Or something. Just ask DzM sometime...

BTW VERY nice snaps of Shane. Your own work? As in, are YOU 'Blackmoon Photography?'

Didn't those Raelians have some heavy Quebec ties? In any case, the only thing I trust falling from the sky is rain (though that is questionable with acid rain) and snow.
Yes Mr. Fintan, I am the BlackMoon herself, and that is all my own work. :)

Great work, Chichi. Some of those shots of St. Séan would make great monochrome tatts, I reckon. Anyway, if yer ever in Oz you could take photos of me performing.... then I could buy you a new camera.
