Unrelated to the topic at hand, but I enjoy the pictures of you and your kid. You seem quite the happy father.

I've always enjoyed punks with kids.

My main worry is that there is some kind of metals in certain inks. I've heard rumors of it, but I've also heard that it's not in all inks. I have acute paranoia about alot of stuff, so that aspect freaks me out.

ahh thats from the old days. modern inks are fine.
my girlfriends dad is an ex merchant seaman and has loads of tattoos from the early 60s .. theyre a bit of a mess now, and if he spends to much time in the sun they blister and swell.. due to dodgy old ink.

Ah. I like the color of the older inks though. That traditional blueish/green color is what I would want a tattoo in, even if it was with modern ink dyed that way instead of just the plain ink that had metals in it to give it that shade.

I would like a Pogues tattoo but the only thing I could think of is the anchor on the back of the lyrics booklet for Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.

I am not 100% sure were to put it though, I was thinking of my right shoulder blade. What does everyone else think? I'd be happy for a few ideas or suggestions.

I'd probably get it on my lower arm, right under my elbow facing outwards.

Though your recent fashion choices have aptly demonstrated your decorative opinion is suspect. :)

ive a tatoo on each shoulder. Id love to get a pogues tat done but wouldnt be sure which one. ive a t-shirt with a picture of shane in a sideways shot which would be cool/ It has the words "i turned my face away, and dreamed about you"on it, which would also add to the tatoo if i got it done

I have excellent fashion! I just happen to be excellently fashionable for the 1970's. :( I did end up buying a leather jacket, almost like this.
