Hey, so, I've been wondering this for a while, when you meet each other, do you use your forum names (except for those who use real names here)? Some of them look hard to pronounce and I wonder if in person one would switch to their everyday persona. Is there some protocol for that?

I have typically introduced myself as "Your Humble Janitor" and "Dee-Zed-Em." Neither of these typically seem to register with people. After around ten minutes with people "Dee-Zed-Em" seems to get reduced to "D" as in:

And of course the secret code number that each Medusan is given. Just to make sure we don't get mixed up with people from the "real" world.

Nah, don‘t cherish hopes. We remain the same old forum bastards, whatever name you use. ;)

I've never met someone known on the internet that was not speaking italian. In italian "left" works very well as nickname, easy to pronounce and remember... in english i guess that it should sound a little bit odd

But then again, in San Francisco, while leaning against the bar ordering drinks, I overheard a conversation behind me...

"Spar Tacus."

Surely the rest of you introduce yourselves as Spartacus when in bars?

Well I use my forum name, but then again I've no choice as it happens to be my real name.
