Ultra-nationalists claim victory in Serbian poll
http://www.euronews.net/create_html.php ... 2253&lng=1

Dashing Western hopes that Serbia would turn its back on nationalism, the hardline Radical Party has come out on top in the country's most critical election since the fall of Slobodan Milosevic. With its leader on trial in the Hague for war crimes, it was down to the Radicals' candidate for prime minister to claim victory. Tomislav Nikolic does not, however, have enough votes for a majority in parliament.

On the other side of the political spectrum, the Democratic Party of Serbian President Boris Tadic doubled its vote to come in second. Hailing a success for pro-European parties, he believes they can form a coalition, keeping the Radicals from power.

"We have a strong majority. If we have a strong decision, if we are sharing values, our goals, we are going to achieve that," he told reporters.

The man who could hold the key to it all is outgoing Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica. With his party in third place, he said:
"Coalition talks are ahead of us."

No major Serb party concedes the loss of Kosovo, run by the United Nations since 1999. Early next month, a UN envoy is set to present his decision on whether the Serbian province should become independent. With its bid for eventual EU membership frozen over Belgrade's failure to arrest war crimes fugitive Ratko Mladic, Serbia will be discussed by the bloc's foreign ministers today.

What a bummer, Oirish. But I understand that nobody can realistically form a coalition with the nationalists, so things will remain pretty much the same?

oi agree Philip, complete bummer!
heres how the thoings stand roight now :
Radicals top elections with 81 seats, followed by DS (65), DSS-NS (47), G17 Plus (19), SPS (16), LDP (15), LZS (2), OTHERS(2) .

To form the government 126 seats minimum are needed!

Bad guys - destructive forces, old regimes (ultra nationalists+Milosevic's party) = 97 seats; enormous result for these nazi parties who brought wars, destruction and poverty to Balkans; its great discrace that Serbs vote for this option :(

They can't form government on their own, but oif DSS-NS joins them woith 47 seats, its doom's day for Serbia. DSS-NS is consoidered as part of democratic block - oi don't see em' to be democratic so there is a potential danger, yes. They're getting too close to radicals in views and attitude.

But in general terms(number of votes) situation is not far from beeing the similar to earlier ones - better for Democratic Party but woill it get PM place its questionable, on the other hand oif DSS joins radicals(worst option possible), tis' dooms day for Serbia.

the "dead" period is present at the moment, oim completely woithout crew.. situation and experience showed me that foinding a complete crew(in terms of what oi need and could expect to foind in a normal country) is impossible in Serbia; complete devotion, honourable men for the task are not to be found here unfortunately..

in following period oi woill focus on me own, solo work - whoich woill include continuing work on lyrics, learning guitar, preparing me way outta Serbia..

only possible gigs in Serbia woill be possible oif oi perform meself woith guitar, just voice+guitar.. or maybe oif attempts succed to foind at least one person as music support;

oi'll post about the oimporatant updates, events etc.
