NJR....don't feel bad, you'll be a screw in no time.

I'll have to watch the first half of a Christmas Carol a few hundered more times and get some pointers from old Ebenezer.

Hoi palloi defo isn't one you hear everyday. Must be Hawaiian, no?

Don't know about "hoi palloi", but "hoi polloi" is of course Greek. As everyone doubtless knows really. Damn, I thought I could resist interjecting longer than that. I couldn't. Sorry. Embrassing-parent syndrome.

Oirish, if you read this, I hope things are improving for you. Hope you can find a way out of the darkness soon. Good thoughts are sent your way.

Wouldn't that make him a manager?

Bookish's post about his online attitude and phrasing was 'quite' interesting to read, as someone's who gone through the migration process and had pretty much every aspect of their life - online and real world - examined, you'd think that if oirish was so keen and desperate to emigrate, he'd wind his neck in a bit?

I've heard about hoi polloi - I used to think people were slagging me, ie: Hoy polloi...

I'm sorry, even though I generally support Oirish - I am not allowed to say when he's out of order? It's either all or nothing? I enjoy and celebrate his difference. I just think randomly calling people a nazi is plain wrong.

IrishRover sort of wrote:Response to Joey Cashman

A response to Joey? Umm. Is there some kind of statement from Joey? I'd like to see what you're responding to.

IrishRover sort of wrote:*an open letter

An open reply too.

IrishRover sort of wrote:You know very well what the claims are! Step down!

I don't know what the claims against Joey are! Please share!

IrishRover sort of wrote:You and your managerial legion - Ingrid, DzM, Zuzana etc. Leave your self-appointed thrones. [snip] You stand behind all this. You and your managerial comrades and guests of hate. This isn't the first petition against you. I wish that Maurice had succeeded years ago!

This is ... Well ... Confused. You know that I don't work for Joey, right? Nor does Ingrid or Zuzana. Hell, I've never even met him (well ... not entirely true ... We passed in a hallway in Boston a little while ago. I told him that there were some people in the theatre house that claimed to be Ronnie Drew's cousins, and that they would like to see Shane. Joey said "I don't care" and walked off in a hurry. So I guess, in that sense, we actually have met).

I don't think the vast conspiracy that you believe is arrayed against you actually exists. You are tilting at windmills, sir.

IrishRover sort of wrote:More than 22 brave rebels rising up!

I don't have a Facebook account, so perhaps I'm not understanding this group/petition correctly. When I try to view it I'm told that it is "closed," and that only members can see more information about it. Your petition may have more success if you make it more open.

22 brave rebels....hilarious. Rover, I wish you the best, but you need to get a grip.

And a perfect opportunity to interject:

"Said the scalawag to the carpetbagger,
'Let's hatch a plot so cloak-and-dagger
A few monkey trials in a kangaroo court
Kill the hoi polloi and the real McCoys'"

The petition got closed down? On what grounds? Did it violate a Facebook Terms of Service or something? That seems really silly. I'd be very interested to know what reason was given (if any) by Facebook.

IrishRover sort of wrote:You bastards, scum & beasts of the Earth. Pathetic, cheap, shallow, selfish from the very beginning until the very end. Alrighty.

Alrighty.

Good luck out there. Best wishes on finally making it to Ireland, and on making music your career. It's a tough road but persistence can pay off. Cheers guy.
