Re: Popes New Album (Release Oin Autumn 2008.)

I generally resist opening topics that "Oirish" starts due to frustration and confusion it causes, you need a darn decoder to read the posts. I was, however generally interested in the subject matter, but I maybe speaking for myself alone when I say WAH??????

Interesting?? To plagiarise young Fintan, I'd say that was Fantasmical! Some positive energy coming your way, friend. Make the most of your special opportunity.

that implies irish rover is not your hero... and frankly, if he had any goddamned courage at all, he'd already be in his dreamland.

But it would deprive us of 108 pages of sheer fun :)

Sell one of your kidneys! You’ll flip off two birds with one finger: poverty and slavery. You’ll be with money and you’ll be free: they will HAVE TO acquit you due to incomplete set of pluck ;)

I got a Christmas card from Siobhan last Christmas.
I guess you'll keep in touch with Tom. Keep up the postive attitude Oirish. Not only are you courageous enough to withstand the shyte, but you're brave enough to have your own photo as your avatar. 8)

OIroioish
You see????????????????????? Told you, in the beginning when I started to sing, I just used to sing in D or G mainly and I found that G was not really a good range for my voice, I had to shout/scream when it came to the higher pitches, so this is not good and it also makes you sound so bad.

If you sing "Givin it all that I got" then maybe you are better suited to sing it in G and if this suits your vocal range then THAT IS THE WAY YOU SHOULD DO IT!!!!!.
What you said about the "poseurs" in your crew during the beginning it sounds to me like the "crew" were trying to make you sing the songs to the way they thought/wanted/believed they should be sung, I have to say that I also have encountered this a few times (not too much thankfully) in which some guys (backing musicians) wanted to back me on some of King Cunt's songs exactly in the scales he sang them and it has happened more recently again with certain backing musicians.
I was'nt having any of it of course, I made it quite clear that when I sing, you are backing me and not me backing you so YOU DO IT MY WAY !!!!! This thanfully has been very rare in my career as the vast majority of the musicians I have met and worked with are great and highly skilled.
No, the Crew should have followed you and backed you to the scale you wanted....thats the way it should be......no excuses.
I do know that at least 3 of the guys wanted to back me THEIR WAY was on account of they just was not so good at changing from key to key/scale to scale in songs so for me this is a giveaway of their lack of skills. By the way Jakub, if you are reading this then I am not thinkng or taliking about you......Ok????? Seriously, I know you might think this but I think you are very good on the whistle for a beginner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, I am talking about 3 oher guys I've worked with in Hong Kong and a lot closer to home.
Ok, back to Rover..............Anyway, its good that you know about scales and ranges in your voice now and just remember to stick to this always, and if you get a band organized, then always assert yourself, if you are singing the songs then THEY FOLLOW YOU !!!!
Well I am doing a gig again tomorrow night in one of the locals, we did it the night after I got back from Gran Canaria and it was mobbed so they asked us back again to play tomorrow, it's going to be mad because Kieran is celebrating his birthday tomorrow so there will be some hogging!!!!!!!!!!!

Sean from Tipperary, No I dont know him, I do know a Séan from Tipperary and he is singing also out in Gran Canaria but this obviously is not the same guy, he lives in Dromineer? I was in Dromineer in some pub/restaurnt down there right on the shores of the lake (lough reagh).
Another thing for you to remember about Tex's Rider's, ok I am a member of it, but not every person down in Nenagh will nkow who I am personally , I mean theres a lot of people out in my local town of Clifden and I dont know who in the fuck they are, theres a lot of people there now who are not from the place and have moved into the area in recent years and of course you have to realize I myself am not from Nenagh and am there on visits for a hard weeks hogging with Scruffy Ding Dong & others. However, they do know me in the Nenagh bars and in the "hogging circle"
Dromineer is close enough to Nenagh alright.
Well I'm down in the city at the moment (Galway) No other news really. So when you going into service fro the security/police/army? Faster you do it, the faster you get your passport to your dream of Ireland.
