Oirish, can you play guitar while serving that 9 months? If so, it could be the thing which would give you strenght - because the power of music is really strong!

Slavery indeed! Some people work 8 hours a day for their whole adult life - and you will have to do it for whole 9 months...

What's wrong with working in the library?!

Oirish, I´d prefer the library meself, but I did that washing bodies job for a week, and it was not that bad. Of course, there was this stench, but you can get used to it. That´s why you wash those people :-)

And while serving that, you don´t get any money? At least here, you don´t get much, but at least something.

We don´t have that serving duty anymore - but it was rather well paid and I wanted the money for my first Overton :-) So I took the chance. Anyway, it was summer, and I don´t like hot weather, so I was kind of happy to work in cold and dark place :-)

No, I don´t think we had this duty at the time - it was my voluntary action, getting it as brigade-work.

Indeed, Overtons are lovely - I´ll be getting myself third one in a month, hopefully :-)

You know, for me, a hero (not fantasy hero, but let´s call it social hero archetype) is the one, whose life would be measured as shitty by most others, yet he likes it and enjoys it. It may sound like crappy pathos, but I feel it like that. If you look at our "civilised" society, there are many people unhappy (I dare to say that more people are generally unhappy, than happy) - because they´re fixated to owning stuff, buying stuff etc. Yet in Far east, for example, or in Africa, there are people with nothing at all, yet they retain healthy spirit, and so they live well. And if someone realizes slavery of our great civilization, and is happy nevertheless, he´s a hero in my eyes :-)

that implies irish rover is not your hero... and frankly, if he had any goddamned courage at all, he'd already be in his dreamland.
