A poster of Joe's cassette collection. I'd read about this somewhere - he used to travel with hundreds of records, but had all essential music compressed down to a small-ish collection of mixed tapes. While mostly mixed, i notice there are a few releases important to have the whole album, including... The Pouges: If I Should Fall From Grace With God :) (also one of my favourites... Lou Reed: New York)

You can buy this poster, and some other stuff, over at the strummer store: https://www.joestrummer.com/

That is fantastic. The effort and love that went into creating those mix tapes. Especially the third row. Spotify has us spoilt.

What would be fantastic is for someone with access to the tapes to publish the track listings (or reproduce them as Spotify playlists, etc).

I've always enjoyed the Gross Point Blanke soundtrack as mid-80s mix-tape nostalgia curated by Mr. Strummer. I'd love to have more examples of his work.

Have you listened to his BBC World Service show? It's very much that, with his commentary.

Mr. Strummer had a BBC show?

Really great road-trip mixed playlists.

But I agree with the comment above - I would LOVE to see the track listings on those mixtapes!

Thanks a lot. Didn’t know that existed. Sure a delight to be guided trough music exploration by Joe’s voice. Awesome.
