Looking forward very much to the show friday nite. Cant help but notice some of the changes in the set list posted here in the USA compared to the past few years. As excited as I am about seeing "cotton fields" added on (a great song on an unfairly maligned record that I felt captued the essence and range of the band), I am a little sad to see "star of the county down" omitted. In fact there are many others that i wish to see each time (white city) as well as more obscure ones (the parting glass) that could really change/shake up the set list.

As a boy from the philly area who now lives in nyc, i feel somewhat for the fans in philly his year, but i must extend cudos to the band for having the balls to go and play in florida and atlanta. thats just plain cool and good for everyone.

Lastly: i hope the band is as charged up as myself and everyone else in nyc i know venturing out on friday the 13th.

Also very excited for tonight. Heading up to NY from Philly in a few hours, doing the same for tomorrow night and DC on Tuesday, cannot wait for the shows, my favorite time of the year for sure.

The set was the same as Atlanta and Miami except we added "Metropolis" after "Body Of An American". We had a small brass section - trumpet and sax.

Great time last night at the Roseland, everyone on the band was in top form, most noteably Shane. I don't think there was one missed lyric all night. We had a great spot along the rail surrounded by great people in front of the speaker next to Terry. My ears are still ringing and I am feeling like crap standing in work after 2 hours sleep. Looking forward to doing it all over again tonight!

It was funny watching Shane panic while trying to retrieve it, only to run over and sing in yours for a few seconds until the stage-hand gave it back to him!!
