Newcastle - 11.12.2008

Post Fri Dec 12, 2008 12:03 am

Hi,

just got back in from Newcastle so thought I would add a few points about tonights gig which was very good:-

1) Support band pretty good and interesting - definately worth seeing

2) Set list was as other nights with Poor Paddy instead of County Down

3) Shane was word perfect from the start and very lively and looked to be enjoying himself as did rest of band. He also seemed to have just washed his hair which was VERY fluffy.

4) No guitar tonight (Terry played it a bit as Jem in one song) and it was definately missed from the overall sound of the band

5) The brass section was a nice addition to a few songs but possibly a bit to loud sometimes drowing out Shane

6) James is going to have to stop jumping off the drum riser before he does himself an injury as he nealy did tonight during repeal

Regards,
Jim

According to James Walbourne´s myspace page he´s in the US to do a few gigs with The Pretenders. He´ll be back with The Pogues in Birmingham on the 15th.
