Don't think the bottle were aimed at the band think, a couple of drunk people throwing their beer randomly or trying to hit the security at the front. Only downside of the night where the 50 year woman who decided to stand at the front and the complain when they were pushed about or beer was thrown.

I was rather amused by the cute little old ladies up front - especially the one swearing at the interlopers to "f*in' go on back now!". Aside from being drenched in randomly tossed beer, (and a bit down the back of the neck from the lovely & enthusiastic young Swedes behind me) I thought the crowd was quite tame. Hardly any shoving, no elbows - nothing like the U.S. gigs I'm used to where being a wee lass means being buffeted about like a gull in a storm. I was at the front all night with nary a bruise to show for it! I had a lovely & fantastic time - only thing missing was dear Phil.

back home across the pond after our first Xmas show in Belfast...colder, frostier night than I expected...don't you folks get the gulf stream? audience seemed more enthusiastic than the 2 Xmas shows I'd seen in Dublin...not terribly impressed with Kings Hall, tho...a bit of a barn that needs some seating for us old folks...we leaned against a pillar close to the stage all night...how about Waterfront Hall or Odysssy in the future, tho I'd guess that's a promoter's call. Biggest disappointment was with the choice of beer...Coors Light?!? Must have been an exclusivity agreement with the hall, but it was a bummer going to a Pogues show with reindeer piss like Coors Light instead of Guinness or Harp...I drank the Magners cider all night...Great show tho...so pleased to see Shane enjoying himself, dancing with Spider...loved the horns on Metropolis...Got a great shirt and limited edition poster....was thinking of Philip all night, boy we miss you, wish you were coming to Chicago. James was wonderful but he didn't dance as great as Philip! Belfast is a great city, did almost all of our Xmas shopping there. A terrific European Xmas market at City Hall. St. george's Market was lovely too, make sure you go to the top of Victoria Sq shopping center for an awesome view of the city. Great dinner at Crown Bar dining rooms. Sunday after the show was a highlight, found Van Morrison's birthplace on Hyndford St., and walked Cyprus Ave in East Belfast. St Anne's Cathedral is breathtaking. If you go in the future, stay at Premier Inn on Alfred St., lovely place. All in all, a great show that got me in the Xmas mood!

I was kicked out from a march DC gig last year 5 minutes before they came on stage... so i was really looking forward to this... took a 7 hour bus trip from Galway and ended up front row center, original setlist in my hand, getting backstage passes, and then going back to their hotel for a couple of beers. then at 3 am taking the 7 hour bus trip to galway... what a night!!

my favorite moment of the night... after the show giving shane my last cigarette, then realizing i still needed a light.. so i took the cigarette from his mouth, lit mine, and handed it back to him. GAHH WHAT A NIGHT!

don't ya love it?! :D :D :D 8) First Pogues show ever is one for the books... and so is first time back stage. Heads up -- everyone else you tell this story to for years to come will just think you're nuts. Welcome to this crowd.

Did she have a saggy arse?

Is a "saggy arse" the denominator for a 50 year woman? Sorry, but my 50+ arse is NOT saggy. Nor are my boobs. 8)

Your reaction (a reaction of a person who even wasn't in Belfast at the moment thus couldn’t be the woman in question in no case) proves that morbid obsession with an appearance is the denominator for a woman, from 0 to 100+. Every mention of certain body parts a female takes as a hint at their possible imperfection aimed at her personally and rushes to own excellence’s defence..

Thanks for kindly informing us about your parameters. The fact that I am not desperate interested doesn’t necessary mean that it’s useless for others, right? Dozens visit the forum, specially during touring period, so who knows..

P.S. Pity you didn’t make any mention of richness of your inner world or of your bank account. My image of you will be one-sided ever after. Not that it changes anything…

Feel?! Who asked about feeling? A real gentleman should be able to value all sizes, shapes and consistences in one glance, long before feelings (touch included) get involved, otherwise you are at risk to become biased, let alone to be slapped..
