Thanks for posting this DzM. We noticed that Seattle looks a little bit too much like Jason Mewes (aka Jay of Jay and Silent Bob) with that Pogues beanie on.

Hey all. Just got home from Boston, about 4am this morning.

I just hve to say that the show on the 19 was nothing short of absolute perfection.

Drinks in the seats, and album quality perfection.

They nearly had me in tears again.

Did anyone get a video clip of Philip dedicating Thousands Are Sailing to my girls at this show? It would be great if you could post it on YouTube.

He truly went out of his way to make that a special evening for them, along with Philip, Darryl and Spider. Seattle is typing up a "story" right now about our trip to Boston.

When I went to my seat in the 20th row, some guy was sitting there next to his buddies and asked me if I wanted to trade tickets.
He traded me his front row center ticket for my 20th row!!! woohoo!!
I had an awesome time! The band was in great form!

So now I'm singing songs from Chickflicks? I think not.

Assuming you are referring to the claim that you sang "Love You Til The End" (which somehow I doubt), you must be amazed to find that you look just like Spider. I hadn't noticed, and I doubt anyone else has either - thank God for journalists or we'd never find anything out.

Sorry, it took a little to get the digi camera going. We missed that part, but it and two other videos are on my facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=650961690

But I've said it in other threads and I'll say it here as well. This was one amazing show. I think I'd be hard pressed to see another as good. Shane and all were just absolutely superb. If Jenn hadn't seen a bottle in Shane's hand, I'd have thought he were sober, with teeth,

Thanks SonOfErin. I tried to find a web page that I could use to let them know the photos exist, but was only able to find MySpace (which I won't play with; MySpace just bites way too hard). Thanks for letting them know of the images.

I liked these guys. Particularly on the second night. Not sure if the sound was better, or I was in a better frame of mind, or what, but they clicked for me much better the second night. And wow - that lead singer has one hell of a rock-n-roll scream.

No problem. yeah they need to put out a real album already!! but i guess its tough when half the band is on tour with another band most of the time.

I enjoyed my FIRST Pogues concert on the 19th. All I can say is, "Amazing!!" I've been familiar with their music for a few years now, and it was just fantastic to finally see them in concert. I hope they pass this way again very soon.

This photo was printed in our local paper today along with the caption below:

Image

These girls traveled to Boston recently to see a band called The Pogues. "They are from England and were the first band to play Celtic music with the energy of a punk band" their father said. The group's guitarist, Philip Chevron, has just returned to the lineup after battling throat cancer and dedicated his classic song "Thousands Are Sailing" to Seattle and Jamaica during the show. Chevron provided after-show passes. Seattle and Jamaica had their photo taken with three of the band members. From left are accordion player James Fearnley, tin whistle player Spider Stacy and bassist Darryl Hunt.
