Yes there is excitment in the air today... Just wish I didn't have 8 hours of work to get through... But such is life..Grateful I have a job so I can afford the shows

Less than 12 hours to takeoff. I have spent the last few days listening to all the Pogues songs except
the ones that will be played tonight. The last song I will play before I park my car and meet up the boys
for a pint will be Terry's Everyman is a King- I do feel like the King of Amer-i-kay going to a Pogues show

Absolutely brilliant show..a little muddy mix for the first couple of songs, but once that got sorted out - HOLY SHIT. Shane was in near-perfect form, hitting nearly all the cues and barely stumbling over a single line. In all the times I've seen the Pogues of late, this was BY FAR the most nearly perfect of the bunch, though last year's show #2 at Avalon was close.

Thanks for the night and see y'all tomorrow...

Oh, and Phillip, despite your frustration with the vocal level during "Thousands," it sounded phenomenal...nice to have you back.

I started to cry after your tribute before 1000's. My cousins left to get another beer and I was standing there alone when Philip dedicated the song to CC's girls. I thought of my own kids screaming the words with the car stereo blaring and kind of lost it.
I'm getting loaded tomorrow because I can't see them repeating that. 5th time I've seen them, & by far the best. They were all THAT superb. Don't get too big a head with this but that performance may have doubled the ticket prices for the next Boston go around.

We (Clash Cadillac and I) attended with our two children. I can definitely say that this concert will be forever etched in their memories. Truer gentlemen and more talented performers could never be found. Thank You, Thank you, Thank you -- What a gift you have given my girls

I've seen them 6 or 7 times in the last 3 years (wow, I just thought about that. ) &I have to agree that tonight was one of the best I've seen from them. Shane was really on, It seemed he got better as the night went on. Spider, Philip, & Andrew all sounded great at their turns at the mic. During 1000's I thought, this guy just had cancer?!?!?! Very happy for you Phil. The rest of the lads sounded tight. Repeal is always a highlight for me., & although it seemed like everybody was having trouble with levels the whole night, it sounded GREAT!
My only disappointment is the venue. Because there are seats, there's no dancing. Therefore it seemed the crowd was a little subdued. And security threatened to throw the guy out in front of me for taking pics with his camera-phone. Meanwhile, half the place were using flash phtography with real cameras.
Can't wait for tomorrow night!

Tonights show was truly special. Not because the band was brilliant and Shane, Spider, Philip and Andrew all sang great (and they were/did). Tonight was the first Pogues show for my precious little girls. It was very special to share this evening with them. I spent a good deal of time watching them enjoy the show. Gimmee Danger was very loud so I was surprised our 5 year old Jamaica fell asleep during their set. It was difficult to hear the vocals from the front row. Spider and Louise sat behind us to catch the set. We chatted with DzM during the break (nice to see you again) and woke up Jamaica. I always get goosebumps when Straight To Hell comes over the loud speakers and there they were. Philip looked great in his black pin striped suit and shoes so shiny he would please any boot camp drill Sargent. I agree with Cory MacLennane that the first 2 songs were a bit muddy but the rest of the night the sound was incredible. Yes, Shane was truly in great form. I don't know where James gets his energy, he was all over the stage tonight and had a great time razzing Spider during Tuesday Morning. The highlight of the evening was of course seeing Philip perform Thousands are Sailing not only because he dedicated it to our girls but to see him shine after all he has been through. Before the evening started I thought I would tear up when Philip sang this song, however I think I was in a bit of shock to hear my girls names at a Pogues show. It was a very happy moment I will never forget. Thank you so much Philip. Darryl came over and shook the girls hands during the show which gave them smiles from ear to ear. It has been tradition for my wife and I to hold each other in our arms during Rainy Night in Soho which we tried however Jamaica had other ideas and forced her way between us and Seattle held onto mommy so we did a group sway. I will never forget the looks on the girls faces watching Spider bash that tray during Fiesta. Philip shook everyones hands in the front row on his way out. We enjoyed meeting KathleenwithaK and Canadian Steve after the show. This night will be hard to top however the family will be back tomorrow (well actually tonight now that I look at my watch).
