Identical set-list to last night i think. EXCELLENT night, sold out too. WEW was great, Billy Bragg kicked major arse and had the udience eating out of his hand pretty much,he brought Kate Nash on stage to do a couple of tunes with him, she even played the tin whistle!

It was.

It was a great night. This was my 1st time seeing Billy Bragg - loved it - can't wait until he comes back to New York. Lots of great rants on politics, Guitar Hero, and other stuff. The politics was in full force...even Darryl did a great little anti-Bush rant after Love You Till The End.

Pogues were in great form. Shane took a little spill during Turkish (seemed fine afterwards).....and a few songs were introduced as Irish Rover.

I had a great time! Talked with Dzm and DublinRambler in the pit a little so that was cool. it was the first time seeing Billy Bragg and he was excellent and so were The Pogues (of course) and WEW. I had my back turned when Shane took a fall but saw Spider helping him up. I think Shane was rushing some verses throughout the show but other than that the band was top notch. It was good to see Phil back and singing & playing again (as always, thanks Phil!)! I loved hearing Love You Til The End and haven't heard Dark Streets of London yet so that was great too.

Anyone else hate Roseland as much as me? I'm a short bastard and it was hard to see the stage most of the time. Finally found a good spot way back by the bar & stairs. I just think the Pogues could be playing bigger & better venues like Nokia, Beacon Theatre or hell, even MSG or the theater at MSG. I guess it all depends on the booking and those venues tho.

Celeb sightings: Sean Avery of the NY Rangers outside waiting on line, and my brother saw George Wendt (NORM!) at the show.

Another great show. The boys were in even better form this year than last. The set list was outstanding (Fairytale was absolutely outstanding) and the performance was top notch. I was amazed that The Irish Rover sounded different each time Shane announced it!

Billy Bragg was excellent too. The crowd was tremendous and I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. My legs are still sore from jumping up and down all night and there's a faint ringing in me ears. I'll probably get rid of both just in time to go do it all again next year.

Thanks for a great show guys and Happy St. Patrick's Day!

last night was amazing. Wow. Greenland Whale Fisheries was superb. Loved Shane's 'la feile padraig!'. Spider banging the bar tray with his head - class! Shane looked like he enjoyed himself, and gave the V for victory sign at the end for ages with a big cheeky grin. The crowd was brilliant. Ears and legs hurting today. Thinking of looking for a ticket for tonight. Top job lads. Happy St Patricks Day everyone. :D

Great show last night at Roseland. Billy Bragg was amazing amazing amazing, and the Pogues were incredible as usual. It was awesome to have Ella back for Fairytale this year (sans snow).

Mr. C, it's great to have you back. Nice suit. Good to see those expressive hands in motion again.

Aside from the show, the crowd was pretty aggro. It seemed really really crowded for some reason. I know it was a sell-out, but so was last year's and it didn't seem as bad then. Lots of shoving and a few fights down in front of where I was. Some girls elbowed their way into a non-existent spot in front of my girl and I, and when my girlfriend said something to me, one of them turned around and said "she was gonna put her face in the cement". Ridiculous. I just smiled at her until she stopped ranting and went away.

Anyway. Top show. Thanks.

I agree. Last year the crowd seemed less aggressive and a little more respectful. Not sure why that was.

On the wonderful day of Saint Patrick I always like to remember Niall (of the nine hostages) who made a hostage of Ole Saint Patrick himself. :P

Have a great time at the show all you lucky bast..ds who are going. I will be going to Chief O’Neill’s Pub in Chicago.

Yeah, last night there were times when I felt like I was at a baseball game with all the people going in and out. What the f*** people?? Can't you just pick a spot and enjoy the show. I dont mind the moshing, but people trying to cut through the crowd pisses me off.....

The show was sensational otherwise....!!!

Having missed both opening acts due to a two-hour delay getting off the ground in SA while they fixed the wing flaps or something, and rushing in and out of the hotel across the street to get inside Roseland just a few minutes before showtime, I somehow found KathleenwithaK and DzM in all that rowdy mayhem and had the time of my life.

Philip looked great, and I thought his voice sounded better than ever. Shane appeared to be enjoying himself, mimicking the New York accent during banter at one point. Thousands, Poor Paddy and Dirty Old Town were my favorites.

Good rowdy crowd. I haven't seen that many hooped shirts in the crowd since Glasgow.
