Fairytale Of New York (w/ Ella Finer)
Fiesta*

Great show (better then Philly) - the band was tight and Shane was more "coherent" (or I was less "coherent" since I was able to drink more). I liked when he said Rainy Night was written by Harry Nilsson . FTONY was a big surprise and was a great version, glad Ella showed up (the fake snow didn't). Same Marsalles Figgs horn players on Soho & Fiesta.

Wiped out - will leave better reviews to others.

Great show last night! The band was incredibly tight, and what a great surprise to hear Fairtyale.
William Eilliott Whitemore was fantastic, though I am not do keen on the Marseille Figs...

And the bars were only selling Bud, Bud Light and Becks. Get your guiness elsewhere.

Last night's show at Roseland was excellent!

The band was in great form. A real pleasure to hear Fairytale of New York.

I had the priviledge of bringing a new Pogues fan to her first live show and she loved it even though I don't think she expected the moshing or flying beer.

Did anybody catch the girl singer's name? She was great.

You beat me to it! It's Jem Finer's daughter, she also sang with them at Nokia in 2006. I wasn't expecting it this time around, though, so it was indeed a great surprise.

I'll be uploading my videos later; for now, here's the only one small enough to fit on youtube without compression -

P.S. It's a little shaky, but actually better than most of my videos, as a result of where I was standing (if you can call it standing...)

Sounds like a great show! can't wait for boston 3/19 -- any know (Mr. Chevron?) if Ms. Finer will be making the trip to Boston? I really missed fairytale last year and would love to hear it again (fingers crossed!)

Saturday was my first Pogues show, and I can't even describe how good it felt.
Well, it felt so good that on Sunday I found a ticket for the St. Patrick's Day gig.
I'm anticipating I'll have an incredible time, yet again!
