For Wednesday 19th we had the same except Summer in Siam never quite happened (despite it being mumbled about!), and we had Kitty in between Sunnyside and Repeal.

We took our lovely niece for her first Pogues gig. Lost her in the tide for about an hour but she washed up with us again in the end. Now she sees what being London Irish is all about!

Certainly during Thousands he only glanced at it during the chorus - he obviously remembers the words to the verses - and then dropped the sheets all over the stage during the instrumental break.

I didn't notice if he looked at them during Transmetropolitan.

He did look like something out of the Matrix in that coat.
And he is in remarkably better shape than he was the last time I saw him (with the Popes - St Pat's - Shepherds Bush 3 years ago) even if he was 3/4 pissed.

had a great night last night - absolutely brilliant. I found it a lot more aggressive at the front than last year (seems there were more idiots than previously hehe). Felt a bit sorry for my friend who was with me though, who is a tiny feeble little welshman and he got caught in one of the collapses at the front of the stage and was under about 10 bodies for a minute or so. I think he enjoyed it really though :D.

I heard people complaining about the song sheets Shane was using - I was having to explain to them that they were songs that Shane would not usually sing...

Also, as a side note, it was definately not as much of a sausage-fest as I remember it being last year ;)

Great night last night. Arrived at the Canterbury at 7.30pm but was not allowed in (too crowded). Was dissapointed as I was looking forward to meeting many of you. Got pissed in Plan B instead. It was the only bar that you could get easily served in, but at £7.50 for just two drinks I'm not surprised.

So, proceeded to get drunk, almost managed to smuggle a can of beer past security but they spotted it and made be throw it away. Once inside pushed our way down to the front. Set list was as expected, and well performed by the band. New guitarist was geat, I vote we keep him and ditch the old one.

Towards the end I stepped out of the mosh, and bumped into TOSCS. Good to meet you fella. Very tired and hungover now, and have to do a presentation to company directors this afternnon. I still stink of booze so this should be interesting.

Brixton - 18 & 19 Dec 2007

Post Thu Dec 20, 2007 1:19 pm

From what I could tell (from some way back) it seemed like Shane introduced it and the others said something to the effect of 'no that was last night' and after a huddle they went into Sunnyside. So, no, I don't believe they did play it. There did appear to be a little confusion up there at various times...

Fight in Brixton

Post Thu Dec 20, 2007 3:36 pm

Anyone see the fight in the middle of the moshpit between a bloke who was about 30 with a purple beard and a flat cap and a young guy about 18?
