Top performance tonight from the boys. Greenland Whalefisheries and Transmetropolitan made welcome appearances. The venue was way better than the MEN. All standing crowd was much better. Shane made a cock of the odd song, did a major Eric Morecambe on Tousands of Sailors- all the right words but not necessarily in the right order. Sadly no Ned or Dog.
All in all a cracking night. :D

Billy Bragg was quality. He almost had me walking out on my job on Monday saying up yours to the working rulers ha ha. Nice tribute to Kirsty at the end of the set with New England.

That was one brilliant gig I have to say. Probably the best since the reunion stuff began. Yeah Shane fcukd up the odd song but what ya gonna do. All in all brilliant. Loads of stuff off Hells Ditch along with Transmetropolitan and Greenland and the order of songs just seemed to flow. Only down side was Mr C wasnt there but there was a nice dedication from Shane before Thousands are Sailing. Well I say nice it basically went.."Ahhhgggreeeggg Phillip Cheveron"

He was on good form and went down very well but he was, predictably, a bit like reading the Guardian.... What I caught of the Holloways was impressive.

What a brilliant venue, much better than the MEN, the sound was spot on, I could hear all the instruments. I could hear all the banter between Shane and Spider.

The stand in guitarist was excellent, he did a good job, but really did miss you Phil loads and Thousands Are Sailing was not the same with Shane singing it, don't get me wrong it was good, although typically Shane forgot the words and invented his own. He dedicated it to 'Phil Chevron, who is a little bit ill'.

Thanks Philip for the aftershow passes, although I knew you weren't going to be there, I kept watching the door in case you arrived, but sadly you didn't.

Strummercalling I hope you're alright and you got back to your hotel in one piece, it was really nice to meet you and Eckhard at last and of course it was nice to meet you again Mark WAFC.

Roll on Belfast next weekend.
