Well, that makes me happy. I first heard Billy when I was in college in the 80's, but I've not seen him live. This will be a really nice bonus. :D

Is he opening other shows, or just the one?

And I really hope that your use of the word "us" means that you'll be on stage, Mr. C. :D

Lucky all of you going to NYC. I looked at his myspace page and the dates there do not preclude his playing other Pogues shows. I'm wondering if Washington and Balmer might appeal to Mr. Bragg's anti-establishment and pro-worker sensibilities, respectively?

Here's hoping he'll decide to open on the 15th too. He's fantastic.

If Billy Bragg opens in Boston, I'll have gotten an excellent price on the ticket.
Not very sporting to fire on an unarmed opponent. I thought you were supposed to be good. Aren't you the... 'good' man?

Who USUALLY opens for The Pogues?

The Tossers would be very, very good.

EDIT: I was poking around on the internet, and I think I can say for sure that neither Dropkick Murphys, nor The Tossers will be opening on March 5th (when I'm going!), as they both are performing elsewhere on that day...in different states. What are our other options?

I was jealous already of my friend who's bought herself a ticket and is flying out for the gig. I am now double-jealous. You lucky people!
