i'd love to see that but i think Spider has said on here he doesn't care for them. I could be mistaken though.

The Levellers do need to come over to the states soon, that's for sure. it's been over 4 years! Maybe when their new album comes out next year...

I would like to see the tossers. I saw them open for dropkick murphy this summer and they were excellent, I think i was one of three people in the entire crowd that had heard them before though.

I would like to see Gogol Bordello. I would also like to see something Latin and yet almost tragically hip. And they could rush on stage for Fiesta. But who would that be?

Maryland Governor (previously Baltimore Mayor) Martin O'Malley's band, O'Malley's March, should open the Baltimore show. A good reason to come out of retirement! :D

(O'Malley said he'd shelve the band if elected Govenor, as he'd be too busy. He was getting a lot of grief for playing once in a while when Mayor )

I'd rather it be the ghost of Al Jolsen than the Tossers again. Please don't have them play this year. This isn't reverse psychology. If it came down to the Tossers playing or me standing on the stage getting shot in the stomach with a paint ball gun by Michael Bolton, I'd take the Bolton. I'd rather eat sushi off of a naked Van Morrison than be subjected to the sounds created by the Tossers. I'd rather watch a naked Jon Bon Jovi eat Cork City Crubeens than be subjected to the cacophony created by the Tossers. I'd even so far as to say that I'd rather listen to Billy Joel singing "Uptown Girl" whilst George W. Bush pooped on my chest. Thank you for you thoughts and prayers.

I couldn't disagree more. And none of those things is really painful, so go right ahead. :)

Wow! I am psyched that the ghost of Al Jolson is opening! Is he doing all the shows?

If you all are lucky, you could get Whitmore and then the LA band Ollin, like we had last Nov 1 in LA. They tore the place down! Ollin mixes Latin, Irish, swing, and some other things. There was just an article about them in the LA Times. I hope the Pogues arrange them for all future LA shows...

Once I though Gogol Bordello would be perfect (actually they would be), but I think they are almost too big & raucous now. It would be like having co-headliners. I saw them both in LA within a week (Gogol was in that last week of October) - quite a pair of shows, both exhausting and exhilarating, but I've never been so sweaty after a show as after the Gogol show.

Vibrant in a fading East L.A. scene
The Rodarte brothers wants to bring music back to the neighborhood.
By Agustin Gurza, Los Angeles Times Staff Writer
January 12, 2008

It's Wednesday night on Cesar Chavez Avenue in Boyle Heights. At 8 p.m., the lights are still on at Jesse's Barber Shop, but the botanica is closed and so is the orthopedist whose sign says "Doctor de los Huesos" (bone doctor). The sidewalks are empty as a police cruiser glides down the street in the heart of this historic immigrant neighborhood.
