Oddly enough, that's only really in Orange County.

This does seem odd based on the stories I have always heard about the great weed grown in Orange County. I guess the local Pogue's fans abstain when it comes to ganja.

It was a slightly facetious comment based on our visitor's response to the Anaheim show. Most people in OC are lovely. Especially Pogues fans.

Thanks Phil, you are lovely too!

I was actually very pleased and surprised at the crowd there. They knew the songs, knew when to clap and dance, a huge improvement from the way I felt about them last year. I'm not a fan of Orange County or their fans but the other night was the exception. Almost everyone seemed to have a fantastic time!!

Yes, it was a great show indeed and everyone in the crowd seemed to agree. my only complaint---stage not big enough to see james jump around as much as he can!!!!
And philip--i really missed you so much!!!! i have all your little dance moves memorized in my head so when certain songs came on, i envisioned you .....( hope to see you again soon.)

It is absolutley fine to express your sentiments regarding a performance and your view point. I did find it funny that all the "money" you spent to see the band and all, you forgot to mention the bar of soup you had to buy to have your mum wash your mouth out with!

Life is expensive and experiences are priceless. Have some fun, drink another drink and carry on a bit. I am quite displeased that every time I see a show in NYC it is over at 11:00 PM. You still have to go out after that to complete the evening.

Flying to Vegas Thursday for the show on Friday and looking forward to a great time. That is unless the casino takes to much of money making Pogues ticket that much expensive.

Cheers to you all!!!

Not surprising to anyone who's seen the series. All that knocking over of tables and falling in pools is sadly missed.

Sunday's show was excellent

Having seen the band in various forms since '91, I can honestly say the show at the HOB was fantastic. The sound was great, the band was tight, and looked like you were having a decent time. Shane looked and sounded the best I've ever seen him live. And the crowd was great. Thanks, guys--no problem with the later start time--what an awesone time!
Stay in bed when the Pogues are in town???
Well, that's a bloody stupid thing to do!

I posted also in the west coast tour string, but, reading some of this crap on this string, I had to answer here. A few friends and I went to the HOB show, and all of us who had seen various forms of the Pogues since '91 thought this was the best live show ever! The sound was good the band seemed to enjoy themselves, and the crowd was into the show. Shane even shared his wine with the fans....Glad to finally hear Poor Paddy and Kitty live, missed you Phil and 1000's, and dont worry about the late start. Shit--I was tired and hungover the next morning at work, but I saw the Pogues the night before! Dont be such a whiner, guest!!

Thanks, guys, for a great time! A+

Again, better late than never.

See Spider's shockingly un-ironed shirt! Oh, the Humanity!
