And last night was an amazing show. A million times better than last year's Anaheim.

I also agree that the next time a band is so late on stage they owe us our money back!!! I mean who are they to make us have another drink, have more time to buy their merch or hang out with our friends and talk to new Pogues fans? Who do they think they are showing up an hour late. A whole hour of my life!!

Whatever, waste of space. I know this little loving circle jerk needs to continue for you all to have somewhere to ball lick the band in the hopes you can become two notches below Victoria Clark-pathetic star fuckers. That show was shit, even the OC Register was kind to those losers and wrote "at least it wasn't a train wreck"

I am certain that the mods comments are because they are Smithers type drones who live in Second Life pretending to be Shane or other members of the band. These lazy, unprepared stunts that were pulled last night were edgy or funny 20 years when the tickets only cost $15.00 to $18.00(US). Now at $75.00 a ticket, gas costs, parking, babysitting fees and dinner it added up to a LOT of money. I have a right to expect at the very least my time and attention to be respected. The band would have been upset if attendees of the show were rude and disrespectful to THEM. THAT I remember a great deal in 90/91 when things went to hell. It looks like it is well on it's way to happening all over again.

Fuck You All.

If you mind to read back in the "Live show" Thread you´d see that we don´t allways agree with the preformance of the shows. My self was wery dissapointed over the WOW show in Sweden this summer and i´w traveled around to see the Pogues in the last 4 years.

I think everyone is intitled to there own opinion and have all the right to express them, so are you.

As for the "ball lick the band" i think it´s not fair as DzM pointed out above, though it´s a very speciall thing to have parts of THE BAND discusting topics on here and gives us information, wery rare and much appriciated. (Specially Mr C and James F.)

This was obviously not "Your cup of Tea" sorry for that, but judgeing form the other reports it wasn´t that bad.

You know skit happens but judgeing from the reports i´m soooo looking froward to the X-mas gigs in London this year.

Cheers
Johan

Anonymous wrote:Where to begin to express my COMPLETE and TOTAL disgust at last night’s performance? Exactly when did 8 to 10 adult MEN forget how to tell time? Probably the same time they forgot how to play instruments they have had for over 20 years. I cannot believe with a night off they could come out and be that worthless. Taking the stage an HOUR LATE with no apology is just unacceptable. I really thought the band were through with pulling these bullshit, head up the ass stunts. It was just HORRIBLE. It was not just Shane. THERE IS PLENTY OF BLAME TO GO AROUND! Spider was just gross. His clothes were a wrinkled (I think he slept in them). The rest of the band looked just as haggard. Unless when they were in San Diego helping at the shelter sites there is no excuse for the way they all looked. Is it too much for you respect for the fans and look as if you had the taken a shower and wear clean clothes? From minute one it was like the band was auditioning for a reality TV show about an undiscovered group trying to get a record deal and were rejected in the first round. They never got a rhythm going. There was CONSTANT tuning the instruments, everyone trying to get on the same page and FAILING. Spider’s lead vocals on Tuesday Morning were horrid. I was shocked at Terry Woods faltering on Young Ned of the Hill. SHAME ON YOU, Terry. Andrew needs to pull his head out of his ass and find a beat, isn’t that the drummers JOB? I am so through. LOSERS!

I'd have liked to have seen Ted Leo, he's a legend.
I caught a show of his in Brisbane when his backing band had been stuck in a bar in Fortitude Valley for longer than they should have.

I don't get the whinging about delays, I've waited 4 years since my last Pogues gig - if I'm in the place and I need to wait an extra hour, wtf?
I wish I'd done biology for an urge within me wanted to do it then

A considered reply to "brave " Anonymous

I refuse to believe that you have never personally experienced delays outwith your control which resulted in you being late for an appointment.
As a paying ticket holder you do indeed have the expectation that the show you are attending will run to the expected schedule however as an individual with no knowledge of the circumstances lying behind the delay
( 30 mins) to The Pogues taking the stage you can only be described as
" loud confident and WRONG "
The simple fact, and I should know, is that in order for Artists to gain acces to the Disney complex which houses the HOB there is a " Berlin Wall " type checkpoint to report to prior to being issued necessary authorisation.
The Band's arrival at this checkpoint coincided with the computer system crashing and hence over an hours delay to their access.
It is obvious to me that you are not suited to attend a Pogues concert due to your Victorian and incongruous comments which are both irrelevant and inaccurate.
As other posts on this site, regarding the Anaheim show , testify Shane and the Band were on good form and in no way can this show be considered as anything other than satisfactory at the least.
Believe me you show your "blissful ignorance" by thinking this was bad.
There have been a LOT worse in the past .............Believe Me !
I suggest you do two things in the future:
1) Research the act you are buying tickets to see before you realise that you are at the wrong gig.
2)Be brave enough to at least provide some identity instead of
" Anonymous" which basically labels you what you are - a shitstirring, puritanical waste of space

So that's 2 goddamn fucking tickets. Shit!

You did miss a thing-EXCEPT the most pitiful, waste of time and money! I will say that it was the WORST show ever. They played like the Keystone Cops. HORRIBLE. It wasn't Shane- Spider was OFF KEY, Andrew I am sure was high on sinus or allergy meds because he could not keep a beat. Just awful. I CANNOT believe they are starting with this bullshit again. Late, unprofessional and just an absolute joke. I am so angry.

This does seem odd based on the stories I have always heard about the great weed grown in Orange County. I guess the local Pogue's fans abstain when it comes to ganja.

It was a slightly facetious comment based on our visitor's response to the Anaheim show. Most people in OC are lovely. Especially Pogues fans.
