San Diego - October 26, 2007

Post Wed Oct 24, 2007 3:28 pm

Currently this show is still scheduled to go ahead as planned.

Person in charge says the most immediate way to find out about it would be through hob.com. They administrate the event portion of this site and are able to make the necessary adjustments fairly quickly. In addition, he promises either Ticketmaster or themselves will contact each guest to inform of the change.

As I stated on the other page. I just spoke with Kara from the house of blues and she confirmed that all 4th and B shows were on as scheduled. !! Its the only reason some of us survived this hellish week!

Its 3:30am and I can't sleep because I am so friggin' happy that the Pogues are in my home town. Just looked outside and we have FOG!!! Yah! Just exactly what San Diego needs right now, a thick blanket of fog and the POGUES! Well maybe a little of FEMA aid too.

Note to self: Quit posting and go back to sleep. You have to stay up late tonight and you're not getting any younger.

Man I am so amped for tonight! I just turned 21 last week, so I made it just in time. Good thing the fires didn't spread much further.

The images from teh media have been stunning. San Diego's suburbs were scorched or burned. The city has been threatened and its people paid a high price. And yet, over the last 24 hours the situation has reversed, making this Pogues show possible. I wish for the people of San Diego a stellar show, streams of whiskey, all their favorite songs, and to be able to understand Shane as he tells you something significant about your experience.
Well, at least I hope you have a blast. Cheers!

Write soon -- not like those lazy Seattle people who take days to respond. Must be the rain. Fuckers.
