I never concede our figures in public, but IF the Pogues are getting the figure you mention for tonight, I think you will find there are in fact VERY few people who are required to pay less than that for a show. Whether or not the fee is being paid from the Public Purse or from a Private Promotor's own gamble is not a debate I wish to engage in (it could go on for days) but please be clear - neither source gives us cause to raise or drop our fee in itself. If the figure mentioned is correct, it is clear we were not prepared to do the show for a single cent less than the figure mentioned, ok? Enjoy the show.

I love the music of these guys, I live just 50 meters away fom the "auditorium", I have been without going out with friends for at least two months, and looking forward the opportunity to see The Pogues live for years...
Conclusion: previous party in a friend´s house to start "preparing the concert", lots and lots of alcoholic drinks (I´m afraid I cannot concrete any more, I just remenber some called "White Russian", delicious and very dangerous), and despite having the time of a whale (my mates told me I was jumping, shouting-more than singing, in my case- and dancing for the whole show), I can hardly remember anything (sometimes it happens)
So I´m afraid I haven´t passed my Pogues´s test yet, and fortunately I must see them again!
I hope it will be soon...

P.D: you were right, no Fairytale of New York last nigth...how sad!
