Look, ask the Weather God. WE DON'T KNOW. We're leaving in 20 minutes and are doing our DARNDEST to get there and play. Your faith in our ability to get there in such conditions is OUT OF OUR HANDS.

I have the same problem with getting to NYC for tomorrow's show. Currently snowed in. Hoping that the roads will be cleared enough to make it tomorrow.

Wow!! I can't find the words. Tonights show was amazing. Highlight of the night for me was Greenland whale fisheries! Brave boys!
It'll take a lot of prayers to save my soul, so i've got to hurry up before i grow too old

Some of us just got back in the East Village after the Philly Show. Myself, Jem, Andrew and Terry had a chauffeur who was very much from the Bronx and very proud - and rightly so - of the New York City fleet of snowtrucks - "We have 1500 of them, look how clean the streets are, you could eat ya dinna off them. Wassa matter with Philadelphia? They must be broke or something! We could loan them some of ours. Did no one tell them it was gonna snow or what?? I had two of Al Green's musicians in the car earlier. Look at how clean these streets are - you can eat ya dinna off them......................" well, you get the picture. Thanks friend for making an unpromising return journey take no time at all.

And thanks to the fantastic Philly crowd, those who made it and those who didn't. We were especially touched by the ovation which followed "Rainy Night In Soho".

A great show!!! The whole band was fantastic; and a particular salute to Phil for a fine fine Thousands Are Sailing and a particularly poignant Star of the County Down from Andrew.

The only exception to the night's rockin' was two frisky little fellahs who were trying to teach me and the guy next to me a different kind of brotherly love. I'm thankful for the bouncers.

Cheers, and lest I forget, Happy Saint P's!

Lookin' forward to the show!

All best--

I remember hearing "Greenland" at my first Pogues gig in 1989. Now that brings back memories. Should give it a listen now. :D

What a joyous and mythical night. I'll never forget the five hour drive in horrid conditions (thanks to the heroic driving of my father in law). It is normally a two hour drive. At times, it felt like we were starring in Little Miss Sunshine Part Two!! I'll never forget the sleet pelting us, as we tried to elude the security folks checking ID's OUTSIDE the building during a nasty storm. I 'll never forget how every song was amazing. Nothing about the night was a let down. It really filled me with an other worldly joy. Really liked the statues of The Blessed Mother. Very cool. Shane and the band were in great form. It was my in-laws first Pogues show (I have converted them into hard core fans). I also took a Chinese friend along, since my wife sadly had to stay home with our son, who is recovering from the flu. They were all blown away. I was blown away. One of the best nights of my life. The show was like great sex. It just kept building to an intense orgasm. Thank you lads, all of you. You kicked royal ass tonight. You kicked my ass too, and it's not very royal. Bliss, fucking bliss. Wish it would have never ended. The Pogues make me taste heaven...and a little bit of hell too!! Bravo lads, all of you. Thank You from the bottom of my sometimes whiney heart.

Last night was truly one of the best nights of my life. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Mr. Chevron for the tickets and aftershows. I had hoped to thank you or at least pass along the message via someone else in the band but was not able to. I met a few of you last night while waiting ofr the aftershow, very nice to meet you all. My mom and I had a terrific time right at the barricade, singing and dancing all night. I cannot believe how good the band sounded. Star of the County Down was incredible, as well as Greenland, totally unexpected. Thank you for a wonderful night Mr. Chevron, and I will see you tonight in New York!

Well, we were told all week that it was gonna be just a rain event. No preparation for ice whatsoever. Weather people suck!
