That is one of the best set of pics posted here, of any year/show, that I have seen. What is your secret? Looks like you were just our in the crowd maybe on one of those long bench things on the wall to the left just as you come into the main room.
What kind of fuckery is this?

I was right in the crowd never closer than 3 people from the barracade. Actually I took quite a bit of punishment from the moshing going on around me. I suppose the secrets are good fast lenses and a decent DSLR. Someone with a point and shoot will never get a high enough shutter speed to freeze the motion. I have a lot of experience shooting low light scenes and it all paid off. I'm glad you guys liked the photos, feel free to download them and use them in any noncommercial way you want. Hopefully I get my black and white films back from the lab soon. I shot 4 rolls of that, but I have to send it out to be scanned.

Yeah I love my 85mm f/1.8 for things like this, I just wish I could have sprung for the F/1.4 version.

I remember thinking you were crazy for taking that camera so close to the pit. Usually as I was being thrown into you.

Nope I'm 5'10" I just got really lucky and alot of people helped me out by letting me move around.
