Philip, thank you for the information and Corey thank you for your investigation.

Philip, when Shane made the dedication to Ronnie Drew, did I hear Spider say that he was recovering or doing better? I certainly hope that is the case.

Yes, three posts in a row for me, but for those who hope to see Paul Hewson, err, Bono at the show tonight here is some pertinent information. I do find this rather funny.

This is not a rebel song.

off topic--play basd on Brendan Behan's "Confessions...

Post Sun Mar 11, 2007 3:57 pm

This is totally off-topic, but since many people are in Beantown from elsewhere and possibly looking for something to do, I thought I'd post that there is a play that seems interesting at Jimmy Tingle's Off Broadway in Davis Square.

It's a one-man play based on "Confessions of an Irish Rebel," the book by Brendan Behan.

A link to the theatre: http://www.jtoffbroadway.com/ There is a matinee today at 3:00, it looks like.

I haven't seen the play, though the reviews seem promising. I have seen another production there (A Night in November) which was pretty good. I like the venue itself--a small, underground (literally) place.

Back to the topic at hand...see youse lads later at the Orpheum!

Ronnie is on a slow recovery but it does appear, at least, to be a recovery.

I agree that this was the better of the 2 I've seen this year. Don't exactly know why but it was. Can't wait for the finale at the Orpheum tonight.

Quincy Dan, CoreyMac, SonofErin, DJevo: Are all of you guys sitting in the first few rows tonight? I'll be stage left, front row I believe. Black skull cap and red chuck norris t-shirt.
Can't wait.
JJ's on Kingston for the pre-game.

Philo, thanks to Corey Mac's efforts we are sitting in row JJ in the center orchestra. I think that makes it about the 7th or 8th row. I am big fella with sparse hair and probably in a black jacket. Corey may describe himself if he wishes. I'd rather he not punch me. But with me you never know, if Bono won't be around I could wear a gold jumpsuit!

(just kidding...I promise.)

And Philip, thanks for the news on Mr. Drew. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who wishes him a full recovery.

I heard at least two people in the crowd express that they were disappointed that Shane was so good last night.

Not me though. Very glad to have seen that one.

Boston Sat show March 10th

Post Mon Mar 12, 2007 12:06 am

Hi:

My girlfriend and I went to Sat night's show. This was the best performance we have seen from the Pogues. They sounded great, the band keeps getting better every year. I am looking forward to the next time they are in Boston.

Happy St Paddy's Day,

I do think I saw you. I was in front more or less right in front of Jem. I was in an Armagh GAA jersey.
